Quinn purposely lost me my last promo and put me in iron because of it.

She left game, didn't help, was toxic the whole game. Behavior like this is worthy of a full account ban. It ruins the game play experience and its why I haven't played rank in the five years I have played this game. I got put in IRON when I was set for bronze like I was last year. Its ridiculous that you get a punishment because someone else fucks off all game. I shouldn't have to do 5 iron wins in a row to get out of iron when I should have been just placed there, we had that game in the bag.

Low elo is and always has been a joke because of this stuff.

It happens all the time and to punish four people and that person to get away scott free is unacceptable.

I told it before on another post but if you think the normal ban system doesn't do enough do the following things.

Open a ticket at support detailing what happened here. Be polite about it and explain in detail what she did(here you also include the match history). Also, explain that you can see from his/her match history that she is still playing.
Open a post on the boards detailing the complaint (you did that).
Move on, but repeat if needed.

If you want anything to improve, shining a spotlight on it will make a good start.

What about the other 9 games? They had no influence on your placement? Everyone gets a few shit games. Isn't iron the new bronze too? I mean if you were bronze and are now almost bronze, that's actually an improvement. xD

Also:

Placements will generally put you lower than where you were last year.
Iron is what would have been called Bronze last year - bronze used to cover MMRs from 0 all the way up to ~1150, now that's been cut in two.
You don't lose any MMR during placement games, so you weren't "set for Bronze".

Not saying she shouldn't be punished, but the sop-story doesn't make any sense.

You've been in bronze for 3 seasons. Seems like all the hardstuck bronze players have been getting placed iron which is what they deserve. Stop complaining you would've been in iron no matter what happened. Just climb out

It's part of the climb. After the soft reset, everyone will be placed lower than their rank they finished at last year, unless their real skill is so much higher than where they finished.

Like .. a plat3 player got to gold5 and was satisfied with the rewards and decided not to climb. This year he wants to hit plat, so by the time he's done placements, he'll probably be in gold3 (which is higher than where he ended in the previous seasons).
