I now report everyone, in every single game, no matter what

Because if you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about.

Right?

It's a waste of your time to do that, but sure.

AeroWaffle11/29/2018, 5:45:20 PM6 votes

Okay.

Though it will be pretty funny if you get yourself a manual review and subsequent ban for the obvious attempt to abuse the system. Not entirely sure what your end goal here is. It's not like a Riot'er is going to look at this case and say, "Oh man, your desire to continue to misbehave has changed our mind about your previous ban".

No, they'll just ban you again because you clearly are continuing to misbehave. Just in a different way.

Right, but you're going to create a "Boy Who Cried Wolf" situation for yourself. Your reports begin losing impact the more erroneous reports you file, to the point where the system will eventually just not even regard your reports. So in the event you do run across someone who has actually done something you need to report the system will be like "PSSSH, This guy? He's filed so many bullshit reports - just ignore him."

Okay. However, doing this (and then mentioning it on the boards) paints you as a rather frustrated person. I think there are better ways to try and deal with that frustration.

If people aren't being toxic then they won't get punished. Mind you, that's being toxic by Riot's standards and not yours. And if this is your current philosophy then your views on who should be punished and how probably differ than the bulk of the community's and Riot's.

And just fyi, saying in game (especially repeatedly) that you're just going to report everyone no matter what would get you punished before it got non-toxic people in-game punished... It would also probably tilt your team, leading what you perceived as INTing. Someone your team might respond negatively and start arguing with you. That would negatively affect your teams performance, most likely. Once again, that's just if you say it in-game.

But if you're only silently reporting people post-game? Sure, go for it. As Periscope said it's mostly just a waste of your own time.

Also, this is (I believe) your third thread (counting your “I got banned” thread) in the last few days where you are seemingly trying to be antagonistic.

We get it your frustrated. However, in my opinion, continually posting threads like this doesn’t add anything to the purpose or point of this board.

You won't be the first and certainly not the last. It is a sound way to prevent offenders from falling through the crack. I approve this. No harm done really. 😂 😂

I've been doing this for at least a year now. The IFS has zero repercussions for false reporting, so there is no reason not to do this. On some days I'll get as many as 3 'a player has been punished due to your report...' popups. Reports definitely aren't weighted anymore, so if you enjoy seeing that popup as much as I do, this is how to maximize the number of times you'll see it. Rito's ridiculous IFS has created a whole new gaming meta, where the objective isn't to win, it's to see how many other players you can get punished.

Right?

Were you recently punished? This seems like a bitter response to something though I know not what. Also hasn't it always been suggested that if you erroneously report too much you may be subject to discipline? Be a kind, reasonable, fair minded player, I believe on you!

While Necromancy may be handy (and sometimes needed) in media, it is not the case for old forum threads. Please avoid using such magic and be mindful of how old threads are before posting.

Feel free to contact us at the Moderation Discord or at Discuss the Boards for any questions, comments or concerns about this. Thank you and have a good day.
