To all the people who split push/never teamfight

I really dislike you. Like a lot. I really hope that one day this becomes a ban worthy offense. It is quite literally like trying to play chess with someone who doesn't know how to move the pieces, and every once in a while just slams their fists on the board. I can't believe this is considered to be acceptable behavior.

You're probably one of those people that starts 4v5 fights instead of waiting for him to pressure, take a tower, or force 1 or 2 enemies to stop him making it 4v4 or 3v4 for your team.

Yeah sorry for employing an effective strategy.

If no one can 1 v 1 you, why wouldn't you split push?

Splitpushing will never be bannable. Riot makes champions specifically for it. For instance, Nasus is probably one of the worst team fighters ever. He pretty much wins you 2 or 3 towers if they team fight you elsewhere in the late game. If it is late enough, they have to send 3+ people.

sometimes i do it to tilt people like you. the waste of time coming to carry some people in a teamfight isn't worth the frustration, when I'd rather just get scooby stax Nasus

splitting focus of chess pieces is sometimes useful tho

There's a difference between effective splitpushing and just AFK farming because you're surrender vote didn't go your way and you don't want to be leaverbustered.

Some champions can't teamfight. They trade that power for dueling. If I'm a Nocturne for example, I have loads of attack speed and attack damage (if that's the build I'm going for. It usually is.) Being squishy and melee, if we don't have tanks on the team there's no way I'm gonna teamfight. I'd just die. Instead, I'm going to the side lanes to take a tower that I can take very fast. Either they send 1 person to stop me and I murder them and keep going, they don't send anyone to stop me and I take towers, or they send 2+ people to stop me. If they do the latter, the rest of the team can teamfight and win the 4v3.

There is nothing wrong with this.

Having a LeBlanc go 0/8/2 and split pushing top can be very frustrating though.

I actually agree and disagree. Most of the people replying are the ones who split push. Because if they are 5 mid taking turrets, you do not need to be split pushing. If someone on enemy team is fed and is taking objectives, doesn't matter who's fault it is. If you are strong to think you can easily split push, aren't you strong enough to help team to stop getting rolled under turret?

While split pushing is a great strategy, the 1-3-1. But on the reverse, there are people who never stop splitting, no matter what. And that loses games too.

If they're being effective, is really that big a problem?

Brotha11/10/2016, 1:19:22 AM1 votes

I almost made plat employing the split push strategy. In a game where everyone thinks they're mechanical pros, you have 3+ assassins with no utility, no one wants to play a tank and people get caught 24/7 yes I do believe in split pushing. I spent the latter half of this season on my alt trying to focus on teamfights and strategy but it is near impossible. That account is stuck in high silver. Two accounts which were approaching plat (Gold II and Gold I) which would only teamfight probably 25% of the time. It's clear to me that in low elo (Gold and below) where map awareness is a joke split pushing should be the primary strategy employed.

If the splitpusher is your ADC or a non-splitpush champion, then sure, I agree with you.

If it's a champion like Nasus, Tryndamere, Shaco, etc, so long as they get something for the teamfight we'll probably lose, then I'm fine with them splitpushing.

It's like people complaining about the support dying. If the support is randomly dying without contributing anything, yeah, they need to be safer. If the enemy team blows 4 ultimates to kill the Alistar during a teamfight, that support did amazing and that death is acceptable in my eyes. If you want it to be bannable because you don't have an effective strategy to counter splitpushing though, then I can't really take your argument seriously.

I more dislike the split pushers who constantly die whilst doing so when grouping would win the game.
