You insult and name-call people a lot in your games. From bringing up scores as a jumping off point to harass others to calling people things like "braindead" and "garbage" among other things, your behavior was very poor and very much worthy of a punishment. Yes the IFS applied a punishment to you (after reviewing these games and others not included in the Reform Card) but it was only because you displayed behavior that other people in those games with you thought was report worthy. Even if other people started it or were behaving worse that doesn't automatically give your own poor behavior a free pass.
You can cry foul all you want and make all the excuses you want but the bottom line is this punishment has no chance of being overturned as the behavior shown in these two games (and possibly others) and in this thread is not indicative of someone trying to reform their behavior (quite the opposite in fact). If you still don't believe me then answer me this: would you want to be in a game with someone behaving like this?
P.S. Riot didn't steal your money since you willingly spent it on optional content that they then provided to you. Not only that but it states in the TOS that you not only own your own or things attached to it (you merely rent them) but that Riot also reserves the right to revoke access to it at any given time. To quote Kei143:
When Riot permabans someone, their philosophy is "the chances of this guy reforming isn't a whole lot, we'd rather not have him in the game". Thus in their eyes, they have already written off the toxic player as a paying client.
From a business standpoint, do they want to remove the toxic guy who has spent $500 but is causing a negative environment for 4-9 other players in every game? Those non-toxics are also spending $500 and probably will spend more, promote the game more when they are enjoying the game AND they won't cause a negative environment.
I personally think it is a fine argument to protect the ones that are paying money and aren't toxic rather than protecting the ones that may pay the same amount but are toxic.
P.S.S. Freedom of speech is not a valid excuse here as it doesn't apply to privately owned businesses such as Riot Games. From Ulanopo's Knowledge Base:
Freedom of Speech!!!!!
Doesnt apply. No really. If were talking about American law, the First Amendment only applies to the government making laws that prohibit speech and, even then, freedom of speech isnt absolute. For example, you cant incite a riot, plan to kill the president or yell fire in a crowded theater.
Also, theres nothing in the First Amendment that protects you from the consequences of your speech. People are fired all the time for making derogatory comments about their employer. My workplace, for example, has a social media policy that says that I can be terminated for badmouthing the company. They dont ask for passwords and access as some companies have been known to do, but it wouldnt be all that difficult to find me on the internet, knowing my real name, phone number and address.
