Unless your team has first pick, the enemy team also has a chance of picking a champion one does not want on the enemy team at that current patch. Maybe you'd like to take that gamble, but others don't and its their right to do so. Unless they're just being trolls of course.

I have no interest in waiting 20 minutes for a yi jungle to get themselves off and go through the checklist BEFORE they even -think- of helping lanes. Bot lane could be pressured under tower with an enemy jungler camping bot lane, But Yi WILL NOT do a thing before he has the following -200 CS
They will go through this LOOOOONG list of conditions before they decide "ok now I can start jungling" But if a lane is lost due to an absent/nonexistant jungler, they will still tell you "Not my job to carry you" or some shit like that. or use "Its not my job to PLAY YOUR LANE FOR YOU" when all we want is a simple gank to get the enemy jungler off us
So yeah, I ban pick intents, I am proud of it, and I will continue to do so. Its not against the rules, I have my own reasons for doing it. Deal with it
