Another why am I chat restricted thread

Not here to argue or whine, Been playing league for a few years (original account got hacked and banned a while back, just restarted playing) and i have never been faulted by riot in my years of playing before for any reason. I wanna know what I did here that merited a chat restriction in order not to get this done to me again in the future.

Team was super toxic from champ select with brand refusing to support (autofill woes). Our kat mid got destroyed by zoe and caitlyn and xin started to go to town on her and brand. I spent most of the game trying to get them to stop fighting and just play (lesson learned, from now on im just going to mute them instantly instead of chiming in). The only thing I see is when I said cait was just as bad? Out of context sure but we were talking about the xin flaming the team, which she was also profusely doing... While this definitely isn't some of the most toxic chat I've seen: if someone is toxic, just mute them. You're constantly going back and forth with Caitlyn and it's taking your focus off the game. Just mute them and move on, because this type of behavior is just going to lead to more stress and you might slip up with more toxic language.

This is probably what contributed the most to the chat restriction. You're asking for reports (which doesn't help in any situation especially since it only takes 1 report for the game to be reviewed by the system), calling your Caitlyn bad, and calling your entire team toxic.

In situations like these, just /mute all and move on, going back and forth with your team this much never leads to anything good.

Your chat log doesn't merit a chat restriction.

People who have said worse received no chat restriction.

The system needs to be overhauled.

You were chat restricted because in the process of trying to fight toxicity, you were retaliating by calling others toxic and blaming. I think the lesson you got from this experience is a good idea.

Overall motive of your messages is good. Just that the execution is wrong. I would recommend that you try to avoid talking at all in your future games; but if you do choose to type in chat, make sure it is a communication one (like saying “invade and blitz you go in front”) or make sure it is a neutral message and isn’t toxic.

Main rule of thumb is just don’t add to the toxicity of the people flaming each other but I can see you got that message on your own. Which is a good thing, recognizing (and learning from) your mistakes is a really good tool to have for gameplay, chat and basically anything you do in your everyday life.

I wish you luck on your future games and next encounters with toxicity.
