More serious consequences for que dodgers.

I believe there needs to be more serious consequences for que dodgers. It's ridiculous and such a waste of time to go through ban and pick phase five different times in a row just to get dodged on because some whiny kid didn't get the one champ they play or the one role they play. So what, your favorite champ gets banned? Learn to play more and be a more diverse player. So what, you got filled a role you didn't pick. Learn to play the board a little more, and it will help with your overall game. But for real, its super frustrating, and to be honest I wanted to play and now I don't. Please do something about this. It's extremely annoying and I'm sure I can't be the only one who thinks so.

If someone doesn't get the champ or the role they want, I want to ENCOURAGE them to dodge, not de-incentivise them to stay. More than half the time, those people will either play like shit on a champ they are not familiar with or they troll to wait for next or they go afk. Forcing them to stay potentially waste 15-40 minutes of my time.

I completely agree. Champion select is part of the game, and if you "lose" hard in champ select, your shouldn't get an easy out by dodging.

I hate when your team takes advantage of the enemy not banning a good champion, then they dodge. I hate when your teammates doesn't like your off meta pick so they dodge. It shouldn't be okay.

More serious consequences for troll picks maybe ?

I only dodge games in which people are already trolling in champ select, especially in ranked. So why should I be punished just for not wanting to play a game with trolls ?

They'd have to have a way to report and read lobby logs before they should OK this. Way too many snotsuckers out there who enjoy trolling more than gameplay

Agreed, people have become so indoctrinated to believe dodging was implemented or is to be used for tactical avoidance to strategically decided what games give them the best chances of winning and what games they subjectively think aren't worth playing. This is only worsened by the fact that penalties for dodging are a slap on the wrist and reset frequently so there's not much of an incentive to not dodge. Don't like the champs your teammates picked? Just dodge. You had to pick first and the enemy that you are against in lane picks your hardest counter? Just dodge. Someone played poorly on your team last game and you get them in the very next champ select? Dodge. You think someone on your team is going to troll? Again, dodge.

They don't care about the inconvenience they cause other players by making us go through champion select 2/3/4 times in a row, all they care about is LP. Some people are so obsessed with winning and rank climbing that they are willing to try and manipulate the matchmaking system in their favor because, well, winning is the only thing that matters to most people. I take much more pride in my behavior, morals, and placing my enjoyment of the game above the ranked rat race that a lot of other players are caught up in. People also can't seem to grasp the idea that they will more or less end up in the rank that they deserve over they long term, but these people are also so shortsighted that they can only see the one game in front of them.

After enough manipulation, whether it's in the form of queue dodging, duo queuing with a smurf, or only playing few champs/one role so that you are extremely outmatched when forced to play other champs and other roles, this eventually leads to players ranks being inflated, and this is where you get players on your team where you just don't understand how they are the same rank as you. After doing more research you can see that your teammate who played really poorly is a one trick katarina player who is gold 4 skill level on Katarina, but probably a low silver/high bronze at most other roles and champs. The game hes on your team he is autofilled to adc and loses by 150 cs and 14 kills cause hes only played 2 adc games in his entire life. The point is you shouldn't want to manipulate the system to inflate your rank, you should want to naturally climb to the rank you deserve. The crazy part is our opinions are actually in the minority as your downvotes and talking to other players has shown me.
