Why are people so negative?

Why do people think a game is over before it even starts? I get it if we have no tank/ no peel / etc but if you have a set team but you're just going against some champ that you don't like people tend to say gg right off the bat. Especially if they end up giving first blood to that enemy laner. Why don't they realize that they're up against a counter or something and just play passively ? Negative attitudes at the very start of the game like this tend to make winnable games lost games and I don't get whats so hard to understand about that.

I don't believe in "negative attitudes turn winning games into losing games". I believe that statement is entirely incorrect. Chances are, if you're going to lose a game, you're going to lose a game. And no amount of positivity or negativity is going to change it. Being positive won't increase someone's skill set. Being negative might make them play worse, but if they're already playing bad it doesn't hinder your chances of winning in the slightest.

I think there's a huge difference between being optimistic and being delusional. And league players often can't differentiate between the 2.
