Thoughts on League of Legends?

I've spent a lot of time and money on this game, not just because I enjoyed playing it, but because I simply wanted to get better. I started playing ranked games last year and ended in Silver 5. I know this isn't very impressive, but I'll tell you one thing, climbing out of bronze is incredibly difficult. The skill level isn't what the problem is, it's the community. At this elo, you have people who constantly flame, give up after losing first blood, and decide they're gonna play Ahri ADC then tell everyone to kill themselves when we say it isn't a good idea. I was recently in my promos and five minutes in I had a teemo top AFK. Needless to say, we lost that game. I played another game where my jungle decided that he didn't need smite because "he was trundle." We lost that one too. I decided to take a break to calm my nerves and come back to it again. The next game I played, my ADC decided to play Ahri and flamed us all and fed as much as he could. At this point, I think I'm just done with league of legends.

While this appears to be a rant (which it is), I would like to suggest one thing. Up your threats for unsportsmanlike conduct. Make these people actually afraid to do these things. I'm sick of putting so much time into this game just to have all my hard work mean nothing because people decide they want to lose a game. It isn't fair that people who are actually trying to get better at the game are held back because of the community.

This is literally THE worst gaming community I've ever had the displeasure to be a part of.
