I recently started playing league again after a 7 year hiatus. The community became a bit unbearable, and that is why I left the first time. Unfortunately, the community is just as toxic as ever. Ranked or normal, both teams constantly spam emotes, question marks, ez, and the most recent match had racist comments again. I am uninstalling again because the game isn't worth it.

Yes, reporting still works and players get punished frequently.
I won't lie though, sometimes it can feel like it doesn't actually do anything, but that's just due to the sheer size of the community (and it's toxic players.) As long as you keep your head up, that's all that matters.
If you choose not to come back because of the community, I understand and at the end of the day that is your choice to make. However, you can always play with premades or friends to make your experience more enjoyable!
Learn to mute players. And reporting rarely works against inters and trolls

Yes, I've been silenced a couple times and it has taught me a lesson both times.
Now I just mute the team and keep pings on and play that way. Helps keep rage minimal.
