why are we allowed to report someone from the enemy team?

as simple as it's said in the title, why ? I mean how many kids have u triggered for beating them in lane ? they'll almost always report u for being butthurt over it. i'm not saying im a saint i do get triggered when someone bashes my ass in lane tho it rarely happens but i dont report people for it ever..still i report a jng who camps me and on and on which is wrong and i should stop , so should everyone. and u cant possibily damage the enemy team's performance by what u say to them, if they get offended by competitive banter it's their problem. the only thing the enemy team may be excused to report u for is afking and assisting them...if they should at all. opinions ? please dont be toxic and discuss like adults. Edit:why am I getting downvoted when I'm asking people to discuss something with me, what the hell?

Because it's very possible to verbally harass someone on the enemy team. Just because they are the opponents doesn't mean it's allowed to treat them as sub-human.

Believe it or not, but if you did nothing wrong, (ie. Not hacks, not taunting or speaking to the enemy) then you have nothing to fear. If you do get punished just make an appeal. Ask riot to check over it again. Like I said, so long as you don't do anything wrong like insulting the enemy or saying "gg ez" then you will be fine.

Also, you can report the enemy for intentionally feeding. Its no fun to play a 20 min game where the enemy mid just feeds because their role got filled or whatever.

Who cares if other people report you, the system is capable of filtering false reports. So if they report you for no reason, it'll just be thrown out.

I don't know what you mean? I love reporting enemy team that is annoying me... when enemy jungler keeps ganking my lane non stop with or without success, I'll report that a-hole when my enemy laner is doing wayyyy better than me, denying me cs farm, and carries his team, you bet your ass Im reporting when my bot lane is feeding enemy bot lane... guess what, i am gonna report 4 players at a minimum that game. overall, I think it's a fantastic system
