Ranked Punishment Idea

Currently, I believe most people could agree that the system is flawed. People get away with playing ranked for fun or inting/afking/trolling and barely get any real punishment. I have come up with an idea that I believe would help people troll a lot less. The new system would be:

  • 3 point system: First time you int or afk, you get a warning, second time, you get banned from ranked for 1 week. Third time, you are banned from ranked for that split.
  • Players that do troll will not stay anonymous; Calling players out for what they did and having everyone who was in the game get a notification that said player was punished. I believe this would make it so the players feel like they didn't lose for nothing and that the community who is actually reporting these players have an impact and can see the results of their efforts to clean up the community.

I feel like I had other ideas, but I cannot remember everything else I had in mind right now. I would love to hear some feedback and any suggestions to improve upon this idea.

This issue here is the same one that we already have

A reliable, accurate way to detect inting

This, quite frankly, would be a downgrade from the current tier system for intentionally feeding/trolling, which is a 14-day ban for the first offense, followed by a permanent account ban on a repeated offense.

For AFK'ing, though, they have their own track of punishments tied to LeaverBuster and Low-Priority Queue.

Simply put, this would encourage players to harass someone who was recently punished. There are other ways to increase clarity and report security without resorting to publicly shaming punished players.

Playing for fun isn't against the rules - yes, Ranked is something to be taken more seriously than Normals and bots, but that doesn't mean people aren't allowed to have fun.

So, your idea only really would be applied to afks. Your idea doesn't actually solve the real problem with trolls/inters. That problem is detecting and identifying 100% accurately.
