We lack the tools to deal with the talented trolls

Meaning the trolls who happen to be talented. Had an Irelia in my last game that smashed both the Garen she got mid, and then during the midgame (for some reason) the Nidlee top lane. They just went top and 1v1'd all match. At the 40 min mark I basically said "We're not going to win unless Irelia does more).

There needs to be something in game to say "this clown has an incredible KDA and is the reason the enemy is still in this match."

  1. You would not have her in your game if she was not at the same skill level as you.
  2. If she is not, for all purposes, an identical player to you, then she is likely less proficient at some things, but better, compared to you, at others.
  3. Since she is, as you describe, good mechanically, she is going to lack in another area of the game.

I believe you discovered one of those areas that she sucks at. Congratulations.

You're moving into tyrannical dictator territory here. It's hard enough to detect trolls, and trolls will ALWAYS find ways to slip through loopholes. If you start finding ways to criminalize (in game) behavior that's good and bad, you basically will cause every thing to be reportable, which is bad for everyone.

That's probally not a troll, but you are right. Riot has not done much about the smarter trolls out there.

talented | trolls

These two things do not go together.

A good player who does not try to win is problematic in its own right. But that's different from trolling.
