Riot could make ranked more enjoyable very easily @RIOT @BRANDON BECK

All they have to do is perma ban, with no warning, certain play behaviors.

For example, last match our support threw a fit because someone banned brand. So he picked Annie, purchased no support item. Sat under the turret and did nothing on purpose.

After complaining about it in the lobby, he said we got trolled so hard.

Right there, shit like that should be a perma ban, an a ban on all of that players accounts. Any account linked to the email and any payment methods shared by those email accounts.

You start doing that, people will pull their head out of their ass really quick.

So why doesn't Riot want to make ranked a better experience?

Because what you consider to be the meta is not what everyone else does. The second Riot starts enforcing the meta is the second someone (and likely a whole lot of someones) gets mad at it.

Furthermore, there are legitimate reasons to AFK in game. Someone may have an important phone call. Their family member may get injured. Them "admitting" to it in post game chat does not mean they were trolling - many people joke about trolling and it's not fair to just ban someone off the bat because they were AFK when others don't get banned right off the bat.

The TLDR is that Riot is never going to ban people just to make you feel better. Riot bans people to ensure that confirmed toxic attitudes leave the game - not because you aren't happy with it.

So .. when Riot bans them, but doesnt tell anyone about it, then what would happen?

That's what is happening right now.

Y'know there's this thing called ''dodging'' it loses you 3 lp and it doesn't lose you 20-30 minutes with 20 lp really helpful in these situations.
