Some may call it Reform

HI ALL

I have recently posted a post in which I learned a few things.

  • Feeding in normals is taken as seriously as feeding in ranked; resulting in a ban
  • Previously I thought feeding was the only weapon I had to fight against banning allied pre-picked champion. Now I learned that I can also take waiting time penalty if someone offends me like that. (time penalty < ban)

I would like to mention why I fed. I wanted to practice Zilean for rankeds, in normals. I prepicked Zil'. My teammate banned darkened/shadowed icon of Zilean.

Now I have learned how to solve this situation as professional; that being either playing blind pick, or dodging drafts with banned Zilean.

#Am I ready to fight with honor in the field of justice called Summoners Rift?

EDIT: It is pointless to wait out for the end of ban because nothing will change anymore. My behavior won't change. My thoughts won't change. So if you would be so kind to unban my account. "I did this, it was wrong, I won't be doing it again."

Or don't play Zilean that game.

To directly answer your question, I don't think this is evident of full reform. I'm not saying this to try and be mean or always negative, please hear me out.

  • You still felt the need to try and justify your feeding. Someone who recognizes that their behavior is wrong tends to not attempt to justify it anymore, they tend to just say "I did this, it was wrong, i won't be doing it again". If you continue to justify it to us, you're probably justifying it to yourself.

  • You still seem to think you have a right to play your champion in a draft pick game. You also vocalize that you think you can choose to "take" the waiting time penalty (and LP loss if you are playing ranked) instead of trolling in game. This is misleading and still shows the combative attitude that got you here in the first place. The wait time penalty is there as a deterrent - it is not there as an alternative, and will continue to increase. Further, if you continually leave queues just because you don't like the champion select process, you do run the risk of a manual review and possible punishment other than just a wait time punishment. The wait time penalty is not there for you to be "permitted" to leave queues.

  • Lastly, you claim you have to "fight against banning allied pre-picked champion", which means you still don't understand that others are allowed to ban the champ they want to ban, and you have no right to get around that. If you really want to play your preferred champion in a game, your options are blind pick and instalocking (in which case you run the risk of others not being happy with you, but it's perfectly allowed to do that), or a custom game with your friends. You must understand a simple concept of videogame design - core mechanics, non-core mechanics, and fluid mechanics (not the college level engineering/physics class). Core mechanics are those mechanics that are central to a videogame and will likely never be changed - the concept of 3 lanes in Summoner's Rift for example. They're highly unlikely to add a fourth lane, or to move them, or make them different shapes. Non-core mechanics are those that are slightly less important to the game itself, and so may have minor changes. For example, while having a "jungle" and "river" area, and having "baron" and "dragon" epic monsters are core mechanics, the implementation of those core mechanics has changed over time. Lastly, fluid mechanics are like items and champions. Their abilities/powers are constantly being refined and that's part of the game. The draft pick ban phase is considered a core mechanic, as is champion select in and of itself. It has been changed over time, yes, but there is a core concept that stays the same - banning happens, and takes priority over picking. This makes sense, as to play draft pick you must own multiple champions, and by extension you are expected to be able and willing to play multiple champions. If your champion gets banned, it's a "tough luck" situation - you're expected to play another champion. You can always play another champion, but the only way to guarantee a champion doesn't get played is to ban it. I know that's very wordy, but the bottom line is that banning takes priority over champion preferences in the lobby.

For these reasons, I don't think you're quite reformed yet. I think you're on the way, and you've made great improvements from your prior thread about this subject. But I think until you come to terms with the fact that you won't always get what you want, and that's okay, you won't be able to truly have a good attitude about the game.

I'll end with this: Don't think about "how can I get what I want", think about "how can I have fun given the situation". You wanted to play Zilean but teammate banned him? Play a champ you have a lot of fun with in a new role. You usually play zyra mid, play her support. Play Illaoi support. Have fun with the game. That's what we're all here for anyway.

Best of luck to you!

I have not seen zilian being banned at all in any of my games (or even picked...) the last few months.

If you find your teammates keep banning your zilian (for some reason I still dont understand....), perhaps you should not hover him anymore and just pick him when it's your pick.

I honestly cant see zilian being ban/pick out of the blue.

Now onto the main point. When a teammate banned your intended pick, it does leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but as it stands, everyone has the right to use his/her ban choice on whatever champion he wants. You dont have the right to retaliate (even though I agree it is a dick move).

We all encounter dick moves in our every day life (e.g. someone cut you off in traffic, etc.). We all learn to shrug it off (most of us) because the consequences from chasing the asshole down could greatly outweight any satisfaction to be gained. When dealing with trolls and dicks, the consquences of getting banned far outweight any satisfaction you may gained from trolling or flaming back. You need to learn to shrug it off and move on with the game with a different champ or dodge the game. Just like you're supposed to shrug off the asshole who cut you off in traffic and ignore him for the rest of your commute.

why not just take someone off meta like ekko or voli support if they ban your prepick. or you can practice someone with simmilar skillshots.
