Programmers: FIX your BROKEN GAME with ONE BUTTON

SO tired of being ranked on a point system in which we are PUNISHED for other player's actions... i.e... AFK, no map awareness, refusal to play a role, no teamwork, etc...

Why is it an insistent punishment to rank players in a manner in which our game-play cannot outweigh that of ONE derogatory player on the team? IS THERE ANY DESIRE TO FIX THIS BROKEN SYSTEM - OR JUST CONTINUE ON WITH THE SAME CRAPPY EXPERIENCE WHEN 98% GAMES HAVE AN AFKER IN THEM?

So tired of the "report" screen in which very little is done- actions are punished OCCASIONALLY but not for any length to make it CORRECTIVE. You can boast all you want about how "the tribunal" corrects so many actions of others-- we ALL KNOW IT IS BS.

It is 2016 now, why do your programmers not add ONE SIMPLE BUTTON TO FIX THIS GAME ONCE AND FOR ALL?

On your "report"/stat screen- why not add one more little button next to each player's name. Instead of people "reporting" to an obviously automated system that does NOTHING UNLESS YOU TYPE THE CORRECT WORDS IN THE REPORT, simply give each player the option to fix this game, FOR THEMSELVES ONCE AND FOR ALL.

The button simply says: "Do NOT MATCH ME with THIS PLAYER EVER AGAIN." This would IMMEDIATELY start weeding out the problem players by not matching the offending player WITH the player that clicked the button. If this results in longer queue times, so be it. Everyone would feel better knowing that the guy that just said "ADC OR FEED" will NEVER be matched up with them again. IT will result in longer queue times for BOTH Players- but the constantly offending player will have a list of people that will not match with them ever again that is INFINITELY longer than a "non-offending" player. This one little simple button would have your game COMPLETELY fixed within 30 days. The bad toxic players would no longer be able to get a queue. I would gladly wait 3 minutes or even 6 minutes for a game if I know for a fact that I will not be running into any toxic players I have previously screened out of match-making.

There is honestly NO REASON that this button does not already exist- unless you are simply too scared to admit that there is so many toxic players on here that you are trying to protect them; Are they simply the MAJORITY of your player base?

People would abuse this to wreck matchmaking.

98% OF GAMES HAVE AN AFKER IN THEM

This statistic stinks like crap. Probably because you just pulled it out of your ass.

However, I like the idea of a 'do not match me with this player' option. I think the ignore list should be made to do that already, to be honest.

98% of games have an afker

Where the fuck did you learn statistics? out of 20 games in the past 7 days I had an AFK in ONE of them, that is 5% of my games, and in reality, it hardly ever happens that 20th game either. In my experience someone AFK's for one of three reasons (generally speaking)

  1. They're a very sore loser and they now perceive the game to be a complete waste of time.
  2. they have poor internet and it shorted out
  3. Their team treats them worse than their own garbage for not performing to whatever standards they had set in their head.

If you are experiencing an unusually high number of AFKs in your games I would look to your own behavior first because you really cannot be surprised when you repeatedly tell someone to go hang themselves and they just quit the game because they're just not dealing with your bullshit today.

Now that is not saying the person who afk'd is in the right, far from it. However it also does not make you right and justify whatever you told them to make said person quit to begin with.

Now why am I being accusatory here? Because it's blisteringly obvious that you typed this up in a fit of rage and it gives a very poor impression of how you normally are. I would suggest calming the fuck down and then either making a new post or editing this one.

It is really funny how everyone who I've ever heard scream about how many of their games have trolls in them normally turn out to be either toxic or just be willfully blind to their own lack of ability at the game.

Well let's see, LoL has 27 million players every day (http://www.riotgames.com/our-games) that means every day there are at least 2.7 million games played.

now I'll assume you meant 9.8% of the games has an afk'er, this results in at least 270.000 afk'ers.

Now before your "NEVER MATCH ME WITH THIS PLAYER AGAIN" has any noticeable effect you would have to.. let's say 1/3?..of those afk'ers "buttoned" this means you still have to play 90.000 games.

Let's say every game takes 1 hour to play, that are 90.000 hours needed to get your result, and let's assume you play 24/24 7/7, then you will need 90000/24 (=3750) days to "fix" league of legends.

Good luck summoner!

Also, programmer here (not for riot mind you), but a system to do this would be hard to do without some unwanted repercussions

This is honestly like adding a second matchmaking system. This can have the following effects.

  • Increase in time between matches.
  • Probable increase in server lag (depends on how it's made)
  • Constant abuse from players (Oh please, as if people won't use this just to take away every other 'good' player.)

I would like the button. Though there are millions of people who play league.... I don't think this would help much at all.

Oh and assholes would probably make it a game to press that button for every time they are matched with.

This is the best suggestion I've ever read, but I know that it won't be applied.

The thing is, I've hardly ever been matched with the same person twice. It really doesn't happen all that often since there's so many players queuing up. All it would do would identify players people wouldn't want to play with again, which is what the report button does anyways(I'm not even going to bother with your belief that doesn't work, it does).
