Couldn't honor because of server/client bugs

Hey Riot,

On Saturday, April 28th, I played an awesome game with friends. We were a four-man, and our fifth was a super awesome lissandra. Then, after an amazing comeback, an intense 33min later, we finally won! Only... the stats screen never loaded. It turns out that the server had goofed, ranked was disabled and people all over were experiencing game interruptions. We still got the win... but we were all talking about that lissandra, and now we couldn't honor him/her. I submitted a ticket to Riot Support only to be told that they can't manually change someone's honor, but why don't I friend that person to message them and say "well done"?

... Now, yes, that's a good alternative solution. BUT. I know that there are a lot of people who care on some level about getting honors. Seeing that little +1, getting that notification means just a little more than some stranger messaging you out of the blue saying "hey, you're pretty cool!" And those +1s are stats that everyone can see, and eventually you might be able to get a banner because of it!

But you see, Riot, it was YOUR bug that prevented me from honoring. I didn't forget, I'm not trying to bias points in the favor of friends, this is some guy who made the 1/10 games that aren't toxic super duper fun and I want to permanently commemorate that. It is absolutely within the realm of possible to +1 from your end - it's your code.

Only... guess what? Today, just now, I was playing a game. A really run game, as a three-man. And our karma was amazing. Karma top was outplaying quinn and stealing buffs from their lee. He grouped and was on point with shields and shared kills. This guy was quietly a HUGE reason why we won. So I want to say thank you, to brighten his day with a +1. But the stats screen never loaded. Apparently the server's down again and people all over are dropping from games. So I cannot. Honor. This guy.

And this is so frustrating, Riot. So much effort is focused on punishing toxic players (and it feels like no punishment occurs against "merely" obnoxious ones), but what about the positive reward system? Again - I am asking you to help me since I cannot play the game in a fulfilling way because of an issue on your end with your servers. I would like to honor those who soloq and help make League fun. Please help me.
