Can you, and should you, get banned for toxic on stream ( only vocal ) and not in-game chat

Hi,

Imagine you are a twitch ( for example ) streamer. You play good and do not use in-game chat, ever. However you explain loud and clear to your viewers why this feeding vayne in your team is, for example, an utterly useless piece of trash and her mom is your bitch ( or whatever ). Can you get banned for this ?

And do you think you should , or do you consider that if you're not toxic on the riot games platform ( chat + gameplay ) it is none of their business ?

Food for thoughts.

No. What you do outside of the game is none of Riot's business, unless you represent them in some way and are making them look bad etc. If they are doing something outside the game while streaming on Twitch (for example), they need to comply with Twitch's rules and would be subject to penalties from Twitch for breaking them.

No, you don't get banned for flaming on stream.

No, you shouldn't get banned for flaming on stream.

Venting out loud is a fine way to deal with the frustrations of the game. In the event of a Steam, it's possibly part of why viewers are watching (although I personally prefer to watch people like Voyboy, who say calm regardless of what happens).

Riot's trying to get people to stop being terrible people in game. They're not a church or a psychiatrist trying to change behavior for all parts of life.

I don't think so, most likely, the streamer won't be playing with the person he/she is raging at. If the streamer isn't typing it out, then the person the streamer is raging at doesn't know what's going on.

I think Logistically, you'd have a hard time trying to go through every hour of every stream/ youtube video, and quite frankly, I don't think it's any of Riots business what someone says on stream. Riot has been in hot water when it comes to pros streaming games other than League ( the reason they can do this is because technically LCS players are paid by Riot and thus are considered Riot employees) and this would put even more restrictions on streamers.

Finally, I think most players who rage on stream are just putting on a show. I like watching Trick2G, but if I'm being honest, he's acting for a lot of his stream (IMO).

To me if it's something not used as an insult but just as vent then you shouldn't.

If you are insulting some1 of the players then yes you should.
