How to handle toxic teammate situation?

My whole team flamed me this one game, I was Lux mid vs Diana. Being relatively new to the game, obviously I can't really hold my own against her. Thus I am forced to farm under tower and even then Diana has the mobility to tower dive me and still escape. I couldn't CS properly due to her constant pressure. Keep in mind throughout this whole time, my jungler never once came help/assist/gank mid. They had the opportunity, Diana literally pushed the wave up to my tower so there was an opportunity to gank, was the jungle warded? maybe, but I'd appreciate the help if they offered, but no they stayed bot lane the whole game. Three things happened that game.

  1. first roam, I followed but bot lane died and it was jungler and me left. was a 2v3. At that stage I was almost OOM, and couldn't do anything to help and being a lux who's squishy and immobile. I used my last Q to bind and started to run ( I was already in the back). Jungler (who already was low health) decides to stay and gets himself killed, and i went back to mid. he types in chat "lux rly?", starts to spam "?" MIA pings at me and I responded "there wasn't anything I could've done" and no response after that. Like what did you expect? An OOM lux to 1v3???

  2. Diana started roaming again, I was busy catching my CS under turret and forgot to ping MIA. Bot lane dies. unsure if junglr was there or not. Then bot and junglr starts flaming me "LUX NOOB" "no MIA ping" etc and again with the "?" ping spam. Obviously I bear part of the burden to that however I did not feel the need to apologize to them because of their attitude. 1st, you should've warded and if you didn't its also your own fault. 2nd if you did ward and still didn't see her coming, then its still your own fault. I told junglr "Its not my fault I can't 1v2 diana and enemy junglr who's also here, did you ever come help mid?" then he goes and responds " Why would I help mid when you died 5 mins into game" and I responded "It doesn't matter that I died 5 mins into game, point is you're always on bot side and enemy jungler is constantly at mid lane adding pressure" to which he then responds " You don't even know how to jungle." Sure I may not know how to jungle, my jungle knowledge is that you: kill jungle creeps, help lanes, secure objectives. But not once did he get an objective and he only stayed bot. I get that doing objectives are a team thing but honestly, what did he as a jungler achieve to have the audacity to call me out and flame me.

  3. This is around mid game, After being flamed for not calling MIA. This time Diana roams yet again and I pinged MIA 2x on mid lane, then goes to ping MIA in river, down to bot lane, pings "!" danger, forming a line. Then I proceed to follow, which was a dumb move on my part (ill explain later). I tried to follow, as you know lux is extremely immobile. I got to the dragon area and "an ally has been slain" 3x. at which was my cue to head back to mid cuz I wasn't about to 1v3. Again I get spammed with the "?" pings. at which i typed in all caps "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME" and then bot says "no help at all". then I said "I PINGED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO BOT" and then they said "you could've followed" and I replied " i did, not my fault you all died before I got there as lux is so immobile" then he says I "fed" sure i had 4 deaths but compared to his 6???. My mistake was to trying to follow, I should've just pinged and then tried to push mid instead. When I cam back to my lane, enemy top, jungler and Diana came back and started pushing mid. Of course top was down here but i was too busy typing/defending myself that top died right in front of tower and then they started to flame me as well saying how I let them die in front of me. of course no help from jungler or bot still, still 1v3.

Again keeping in mind this is mid game, at which point everyone roams EVERYWHERE, do yourself a habit and have some map awareness. No one is going to ping Enemy MIA during that phase, especially if they're all grouped in mid and yet you still play bot. Although I did ping but they didn't listen so there's not a thing I could've done anyways.

I don't see the warrant for my team flaming me since I really don't know what I did wrong aside from letting top die in front of me cuz i was typing or the first time I forgot to ping MIA i bear half the burden at most yet they made it all my fault. I was basically the scapegoat if you will, for the loss. What Could I have done better in that situation? I'm talking about in terms of gameplay, not just muting flamers because that doesn't really help knowing they are already talking trash about me.

Or you could disable ally chat.

Just carry the game yourself. Dont pay attention to the chat. Keep in mind most likely they wont be in your next game. Few days ago i had a toxic team so i carried the game myself. I even uploaded it. You can see the amount of toxicity from leona and mf towards each other and later in the game towards me. But i simply carried them even tho i had no idea how to play ryze since this was like my 3rd game with him lol https://youtu.be/j59zeI5W7ho

I get these situations on the near daily - I am a Senna otp (think what you will) as is evident by my name. I do not play senna because she's strong, or broken, or anything like that, she just happens to be the only champion in the game that I find so much fun, and that I can play over and over again. Nothin wrong with that.

However, if, god forbid, I have a bad game or dont do so well in game, I get the shit for it. "Imagine being a senna one trick when you're this bad", "senna one trick btw", etc. Even as I'm typing this, I'm getting flamed from my adc. "otp senna btw"

JUst mute them. Full mute even.

The solution is, unironically, GET GOOD. Your teammates are flaming you because you are playing bad. So play better, it's that simple.

So first you need to take the right summoner spells and runes for the matchup and know why they are the runes / summoner spells you want. You are playing into Diana. A melee assassin / bruiser that will win 1v1 vs Lux, a control mage. So you should not be playing to win lane by solo killing your opponent. You win lane by poking her out and exerting more map pressure ( roaming bot, playing off your jungler, setting up for ganks ). You should be taking Barrier because while Diana has 1 combo potential on you, you do not have the same, you should be taking arcane comet not electrocute, as you can easily proc it on her from safety, you do not get as much use out of electrocute ( or aftershock in the other game ). Also you took armor runes both of your games against Diana despite her dealing magic damage. Secondary runes don't matter as much but biscuits cosmic insight and stopwatch are all good from inspiration.

As a ranged mage you need to understand that melee champions will beat you 1v1, so overextending where your turret and team are not a factor in the fight, means certain death. Just do your job as a control mage, and play with your team.

Your jungler is right, if you got solo killed 5 minutes into the game IN MID LANE you are probably an unskilled player, and if you don't understand the basics of laning, how will you understand how to set up a gank? The gank will likely be unsuccessful and even if it was successful, is the time investment worth it to get gold on someone who has already proven themselves an unskilled player?

mute, the end, didn't even read this. I think bans and suspensions should hardly ever be used, only in very egregious scenarios. Once you see someone being a complete bone-head, its on you to mute them/pings, its why the darn feature is there...
