Say it out loud.

Remember that if you flame someone, not only will they play worse, but they won't listen to any advice you have.

Remember, you don't know what's going on in their lane or on the other side of their monitor

If you are asking us for help, it's already a type of therapy.

For me, winning / loosing is not everything in the game. I play to improve my decision making in lane, mid and late game. Winning is just a byproduct of making good decisions. Knowing that there is something I can review and work on improving every game, makes me very chill about the outcome of the game.

If you don't need no therapy that means you need therapy. But if we look at the triple negation, you might be right, and you really don't need :P

Anyway, just unbind the chat button... (Idk why Rito does not allow the self-mute...)

Reading my reply here might help you not to flame back:

The Mental Gymnastics of Toxic Players

People seem to do well at everything else.

Perhaps you could try giving a bit of benefit of the doubt? There are so many toxic people out there, but also ones that may just be having a bad day or are in the process of learning. Everyone makes mistakes. Behind every champ in your games is a real person, and you have no idea what they are experiencing. If you were sitting in a room with these people would you feel the need to rage or flame them? The anonymity and lack or human connection really breeds these issues.

The only thing I have every experienced like this is the feeling of road rage....no easy solution for you but there is no way you can expect the players to change so you will just have to work on changing your attitude. I started listening to audiobooks when driving and I found it helped; I have seen a lot of suggestion about listening to music you find calming/ happy as a way to help with league stress.

But well done asking for help, I am sure you will find a way through it. League can be such a fun game and I wish everyone could just enjoy themselves!

I have a serious problem with rage

Pick one

i dont need no therapy

But to answer your question, I guess what works for me, is that if I feel myself getting emotional, I remember it's just a video game. Getting mad in a video game is pretty immature.

You realize those are kind of contradictory statements right?

In any case, the simplest suggestion would be to go into settings and disable /all chat. Then maybe unbind your chat key from enter.
