I got banned for having my account hacked

My account was exposed and whoever had my account used it to flame and was toxic in game. I haven't played in two years, but I just wanted to get back into the game, and I tried to login, however, I got a pop up saying my account was perma banned. Should my account be banned? I honestly think it shouldn't, as I was intruded, and it was not me. I've reached out to Riot support, but they said they will not reverse the ban, without even asking if I was the true owner. Please help.

This makes it sound like you didn't tell Riot that the account was hacked when you first contacted them.

this might sound dumb, but...how do you know you got banned for being toxic?

if someone did actually hack your account, i doubt he would leave the same email as the one you are using. you wouldn't even get a notification telling you that you got banned. you'd basically be cut out from any infos on your account.

Go to riot support account recovery, they will ask questions about your account, if you prove that its your account they may unban you.

I just had 2 player message me about if there account was scripting.

both player, different games said they had to reset password and Thought someone might be scripting.

Was just about to make a board post about Account security and I saw this post.

Someone managed to access my account recently, and just got it banned. They didn't make purchases, they didn't ruin my crafted items or anything similar. They just played four games of ranked with scripts on. Riot Support was really helpful in my case, especially because of how old my account is, how regularly I play, and how different the champs were from the ones that I use.

I know this is an old topic but relevant to my account that I just came back to since someone hacked it and got my account permabanned along with changing my freaking summoner name to NAISE. Really hope the ticket actually gets looked at by a human than blitzbot spamming me with chatlogs about a permaban about someone else who was clearly using my account using entirely different champs and playstyle in the game logs should be a lot more obvious with the name change considering I've had it as Panthaz89 since the first season of when the game came out like which was like 10 years AGO! Yeah I suddenly became some guy who spammed racist comments in chat....this is exactly what everyone wants to come back to after like 2 years of not playing. Customer support helped me back in 2012 when I got hacked but I was actively playing by that time so it was easy to get in support before they could get my account banned.
