I am officially scared to play league... My friend just got banned yesterday, after his first game after work. It said he was "scripting". I was playing with him that game, he was Alistar support. I've known him IRL for 13 years. He doesn't hack, he doesn't script. He couldn't even land a flash pulverize that game.... He's spent hundreds of dollars on this game, and just out of no where, first game of the night, He gets banned. Like i'm truly scared to play because i don't want to get banned...

riot isnt the same company they were years ago, they took a turn for the worse, kind of reminds me of social justice warrior liberals. can't be a successful white man without being racist, somehow. can't play the game without hurting somebody's feelings and having them report you. even if you do better than others, they can report you for that. check the chat logs if there's even something they think as "passive aggressive" BOOM perma ban. this company is a joke, so are the people that so stalwartly defend their actions. i always find it funny how DOTA 2 doesnt have the same ridiculous rules, yet somehow they have FAR LESS toxic players in the community lmao. find a new game, you'll eventually get a perma for something ridiculous and it'll leave you thinking, "why the fuck did i spend money on this dumbass game?"

That ban was likely not from the game you were in (if he was banned right after). 3rd party bans are pushed out in waves, and are typically only sent when there's a legit reason behind it.

If your friend contacts Riot Support they can check again, but be aware that they cannot tell you the exact program that did it as this would allow software developers to come up with new ways of keeping their program undetected. If he gets a message saying he's been rightfully banned, he obviously did something wrong.

Check what programs/add-ons he has, or any other software that might interact with the LoL client.

It's like being scared to go outside in case you get struck by lightning! Riot does not randomly ban people. Either your friend was actually using some kind of third party software or they've made a terrible mistake in which case he can contact customer service to get the ban reverted.

It sounds more though, if you'll bear with my skepticism, that you're trying to make an irrational argument Riot shouldn't ban players because it makes you feel scared. I remember playing Warcraft 3 recently, and because the company long stopped actively moderating the game's official servers overrun by hackers and cheaters who would always drop you out of the game if they were losing. Riot has to make an active effort to prevent cheating in order to create a stable and fair gaming environment.

I just got a ricidulous ban.

I decided to move on to Paragon. The game length is definitely too long right now but that game is really shaping up to be a great one once they can figure out the game pacing. The graphics are amazing and the Z-axis adds such an awesome new layer.

I am an Eve enthusiast and I have been playing the hero Kallari. She has a 2 second delayed stun that once it's activated only a ward will allow her to be seen. She also has a sweet backflip move and her ultimate really compliments the rest of her assassin kit. If you truly want to feel like an assassin, jump into Paragon and join the fun and help shape the new, less facist, future.

Well you might as well just play it. Either you don't play (which is similar to being banned) or you play and actually get banned. Only one choice involves playing the game so if you wanna play, just play. Don't prematurely ban yourself lol. Sorry bout your friend though, that sucks.

before you get too scared, I'll let you know ahead of time that certain key board / mouse macros are not allowed.

Also, there are some skin overlays that give you unfair advantages, such as jungle timers, CS breakdown are a few to name.

I have to agree with Wards Bot. Just because you spent the money on a product and feel intimidated, the company still does have thousands of other members to make a fair and stable environment for. Riot is trying to even the playing field for everyone else as well. I would suggest getting rid of the add ons (custom skins and LOLwiz). It's like trying to blame a car manufacturer for someone's poor driving habits (like texting and driving) in an accident case.

tell him to just submit a ticket to rito, they help out with isolated cases like that.

As me and him have read more up on it, he was part of the "ban wave" that happened last night. So there isn't anything he can do, because they just have a bot reply to everyones email about being banned, its the exact same email every time.
