I have played several games where I have been accused of being a Bot and threatened to be reported after standing up to them for saying such things.

I believe some of these people who threaten to report others are doing it for fun. I just got done with a game where 2 players, <removed by moderation> and <removed by moderation>, were talking in the chat amongst themselves about the other players. They accused everyone on the team of being a bot and told each other to report the team. They moved around the whole map, stealing everyone's kills and even stole several of my own when my targets HP was at its lowest. I ended the game with 2/4/8. I do take fault in causing most of my own deaths, but I also believe that with those 2 players coming in and out of my lane I got distracted and lost track of where I was in my attacks.

Riot Games, please look into these kinds of players more.

If you get any reports of someone being a bot, what is your policy in handling those reports?

If I end up being reported and kicked off LOL, do I come back to this site and try this chat again?

Universal Boards Rules - Naming & Shaming

No personal attacks or witch-hunting, for any reason. Do not make posts accusing another player of causing a negative in-game experience, cheating, trolling, or any other malicious activity, even if you have hard evidence.

If you see or hear about another person breaking the rules in-game, send a ticket to Player Support. If you see or hear about another person breaking the rules on the board, report the post in question or come to the Moderation Discord.

It sounds like those two players were just trolls. Your best course of action is to mute or ignore them for the duration of the game. False reports won't do anything to harm your account, so just report them with the proper categories and eventually they'll get punished.

Hi Ruby Winter!

I edited out the name from your post, as per the Board rule against Name & Shame. Calling out people in the manner you used creates a witch hunt which is not allowed.

If you have a problem with someone in game, then be sure to use the report function at the end of the game, or if someone continues to harass you out of game, then submit a Support Ticket.

If you have any questions about this moderation action, don't hesitate to reach out to the Boards Moderation Team via:

Did you know, the system has the capability to filter out false reports?

People are not punished based on report volume alone, they are punished based on valid reported games. 9 reports act the same way as 1 report within the same game, and that report will be validated.

So don't worry about people randomly reporting you. The system is smarter than you think.

Also, there's really no such thing as kill stealing, as kills don't belong to anyone. Getting the last hit and a good KDA may look impressive, but may not always be the best choice to propel the team forward.

It's because you're playing co-op vs AI games. AI games are plagued with bots, for the purpose of leveling new accounts to sell with minimal effort. Bots can range from being borderline AFK to having rudimentary skills in the game. To an experienced player, a new player may be mistaken for a bot in AI games. There's no malice in it, they just made a faulty assumption.

As to the kill stealing, experienced players will sometimes play vs AI for stress relief and just run around styling on bots. It happens.

You won't have any risk to your account for erroneous reports, as others have said.
