It takes too long to start a game and it may be causing additional stress on SR

Let's say you're playing draft pick

  • Takes between 1-4 minutes to get into a lobby
  • Takes 5-6 minutes to pick ban
  • Takes 2-4 minutes for everyone to load in
  • Takes 1 minute to pick the same starting items you always start with
  • Takes another 2 minutes for laning to actually begin

At MINIMUM it takes 12 minutes JUST to start a game.

Now imagine 10, even 5 minutes in, the enemy has a few kills and they're snowballing. You now waited 17-22 minutes to find out you're going to have an uphill game, that will now take between 10-20 minutes to end from then on out. That's 27-42 of minutes of trampling hopes and dreams

Is it supposed to be a surprise people get agitated when they feel like their time waiting was for nothing?

Team builder went about this problem incorrectly, people like myself don't care what my team mates pick, the whackier the funner! I just want to get into the game and play. I usually make a build, test it in bots, consolidate and then spam normals. Team dynamics are at an all time low here, people just want their worst nightmare banned so they can enjoy the laning phase.

Summoners Rift is vastly more stressful because it requires players commit to additional time to things that don't matter. Ever had an URF or Ascension go bad? Never mind it will be over soon and queuing up is fast, we can start over sooner rather than later.

This seems strange that it's just the norm, but that's just me.

Something that could drastically help, make everyone ban at the same time. If there's a duplicate, then there's one less champion banned, and have the game move on anyway.

So ranked should be All random champs?
