yea i get that due to the nature of the game being both competitive and team based is going to cause people to get frustrated and poor balance/design decisions will contribute to that but the way league players treat each other is fucking vile.

iv played this game since beta (though this account was made in postseason 4 i think) and i can say without a doubt its only gotten worse and worse every year.

this isnt an issue only one party can fix, riot can insentivise good behavior and punish bad behavior to hell and back but unless the community heads( like big streamers) are also in on it it will otherwise be pointless.

league dosent have to be the game known for having the most toxic community in gaming.

league being a pvp game doesnt mean it's ok or warrants being an asshole. that's an excuse.

the reason people act the way they do is because humans mimic the people they are around. so most people in the world are assholes who shit talk, so that's what you get.

Actually, I would say that the "unenjoyment" of this game comes from the fact that I get punished for my teammates being bad when I consistently do well in games.

Not really, I'm here from S1, I played tons of Dota and WoW arenas before to know what toxicity is, greeting each others with slurs, death threats as daily bread(and not just 3 letters, I talking about detailed plans), ppl were vicious af(they still are, but Riot has many of them on the leash) and there wasn't really punishment for that. Nowadays majority just won't risk to get banned(I like to fool system, so there is probably some more "toxic veterans" out there). Today's players will either stay quiet or they will get banned pretty quickly.

Trolling is still problem tho.

Matchmaking? That's biggest trigger for me.

I'm pretty sure you just erased bad memories, bcs toxicity was one of cornerstones of LoL and all Mobas/MMOs in general.

LoL isn't really the most toxic community, mobas are, LoL is just the most popular one.

Actually i'd wager 70% of unenjoyment in this game is from matchmaking using numbers and not features (K/D/A Vis score ETC) Currently it just uses MMR which doesn't account for teamplay and co-operativeness

I don't care about toxic players. I only care about whether my team is consisted of feeders or not.
