@Riot: Are you doing anything against botting?

Okay, so ... Today, i've played 5 games against intermediate bots, to try and learn a couple of new champions. (Kindred and Syndra). Out of those 5 games, 4 of them have had 1 or more botters in them, which appart from making us lose the game, which is secondary, opt for going midlane and start going ham on the minion waves, ruining any and all hopes of learning how to CS. Other then that, they feed immensely, and generate great frustration for the actual individuals that use the bot games to get a champion down.

Now, the sharp at mind with a minor arrogance complex, would say that i could go into Normal games to practice with these champions, and while this is true, i would prefere to be able to practice the champion to a degree where i know what their skills do, before going yolo in normal games.

But hey! i can always leave the game ... right? ... no, because then i get to suffer through a 20 min penalty because of me leaving a game, where i theoretically could be the only actual person playing.

Can it really be true, that botting is allowed to be so rampent in bot games? while you provide no means of creating practice games in custom games?

They tend to ban bots in waves.

And they are creating a practice mode.

Are you really that timid that you just can't queue up for a normal game?

Even though your team might hate you, just read the abilities and go into a normal. It's so much better to actually learn a champ

  1. Botters are really persistent. Riot physically can't get rid of all of their bots. Because they're constantly creating new ones, like the little cockroaches they are.
  2. Riot has to be careful when getting rid of bots to make sure as few actual players get caught up in the bans as possible (obviously they'd like it to be NO actual players, but you know how it is).
  3. It's hard for them to say anything beyond "we're doing things about it" because every bit of information on how they find bots is information botters can use to bypass their current system.

Basically, it's a problem that will never go away, and it's hard for Riot to make it look like they're doing something about it without being counterproductive.
