Chat restrictions

Muting and reporting are not mutually exclusive functions. For all you know, they could've done both. So, now what? They muted you, and they also reported you, so they don't need to "learn" anything new.

Chat restrictions are dumb...

Well, if you don't want to be chat restricted (and potentially, eventually banned), you should consider following the rules you agreed to at account creation and whenever a new patch drops.

If you don't break the rules, you won't get punished. Simple as that.

I mute the toxic players so they no longer bother me, and I report them so they don't bother anyone else. It's not about being offended it's about not wanting to play with someone who's more interested in harassing others and/or complaining than they are in playing the game. Maybe instead of insulting those who refuse to put up with flamers the flamers should just learn to use chat properly and not use it to get into arguments or shouting matches when things don't go their way. That's what chat restrictions are meant to convey, and if they don't like it then ideally they should work on fixing the behavior that got them that punishment rather than crying foul when they're held accountable for it.

Flaming, getting into arguments, and telling people off is dumb, learn to be respectful.

riot gives us the option to "ignore" toxic players. that doesnt mean that they allow you to be toxic.

I believe people like all the flaming and toxicity in the game. Otherwise people would just mute and move on. The report button is just a power play to get back at someone.
