First off, yes I know I just posted this in Gameplay. It got removed, and I got a message telling me this would be a better section for it.

The original post..

I've been posting about 1.5 times a week (in Gameplay) about making URF a permanent game mode, and I get this message..

Your Content Has Been Removed From: Riot Games Hey Deadpete,

We know you want to get your message across but please refrain from spamming this discussion continually amongst one or many sub-boards as it is cluttering other discussions and/or considered low effort.

Here is a link to your post below:

Well that's all fine and dandy, but maybe tell me how often I'm allowed to post to not be called spam?

You can ask again maybe a few months later if URF hasn't been around for a while, just to avoid spamming it. For note though, URF is a terrible mode to have as a permanent mode. It's already developed a meta with the recent frequency it's been rolling around, and that's essentially sucked every bit of the fun out of the mode. This mode should turn up extremely rarely due to how easily it is for a meta to develop in it, because once that happens, you see the same 5 champs being played continuously because they easily stomp everything else in that game mode, and then no one wants to play it ever. That leads to increased queue times for the same die-hard-try-hards who only want to exploit the mode for free wins instead of having a good time, as the mode is intended to do.

well, you know already that they aren't going to make rotating game modes permanant. That has already been repeatable confirmed from Riot.

You ask the same question every week and get the same answers every week (presumeably) , which makes it spam.

You can ask the question in a different manner to generate a different discussion, but the same question over and over again (until you get the answer you are hoping for) is considered spam.

If it is a worthwhile topic, people will keep talking about it and it'll be kept on front page, so no need to make new topics or keep necroing it.

Posting the same thing every week is spamming; Spam is annoying and a waste of kilobytes.

Oh man!

Look at all the blue in this thread!

Or, just a bunch of wannabe know it all *******s.

The issue isn't necessarily how frequent, but rather that you aren't generating new discussion, nor providing new context for the request.

Statistically speaking, the majority of people are only interested in the alternative game modes such as URF for a couple days. Afterwards, the general population drops out leaving mostly the enthusiastic fans of the mode such as you that continue playing it, which is why Riot only has them available on the weekend.

Now, if you can provide a compelling counterargument to that, you can consider making that a new post, because it provides new perspective and information on the topic

One time ever is enough, you posting the same shit every week isn't going to make a difference in their decision to keep it permanently or not it just creates more clutter in the boards.

Also, idiotic answers!

  1. The same 5 champs get played.

  2. Enthusiasm will fall off.

  3. a. Orly? I've played dozens of games and I wholeheartedly disagree with this. Lots of champs are getting played. Never once in the games did I think man this is getting old, same champs. Nope didn't happen. b. The same could be said about ranked. Oh noes! People playing the same champs! Should we just remove ranked? Terrible argument.

  4. I doubt it will, but keep predicting the future and claiming it as fact. People said the same thing about ARAM.. and look at that. It's just fine. At least with ARAM people were ABLE to still play the game they loved, without having an actual game mode created by RIOT. URF? Not possible. So how about stop naysaying and .. support the URF enthusiasts?

Nothing ever just happens on its own. If enough people talk about URF frequently RIOT might make it a permanent mode. My posts.. met with such fkn negativity who would want to speak up into that? Also to consider.. the people prone to playing URF might not be people prone to posting on the forums. Forums aren't an entry or exit poll to the game, they're something people need to go out of their way to do. I have a bunch of League friends that never touch the forums, and I know if URF was permanent we'd be playing it quite often.
