Why is it 99.9% the ADC's fault?

I almost never see anyone blame the support. I've had many supports who don't ward, don't use exhaust until I'm dead, don't even ult until I'm dead, or just don't engage. And yet, every time they screw up, somehow I get blamed for it.

The other day I had a support who kept aa'ing the minions which made it hard for me to cs at early levels (couldn't get the aa off in time when they aa them to the point where they all have the same health.) So I asked them if they could stop aaing them. All I said was "plz don't aa minions, makes it hard for me to last hit". In reply to that they said "Muted. I don't need your toxicity." That's the only thing I said to them, nothing prior and nothing after. I know all these "and my ADC did this bs and I saved their ass" memes are jokes, but I think a lot of people take them seriously and always blame the ADC. And it pisses me off more because it's the support who controls how the lane usually goes. Also I'm an ADC main, and once I saw this post about a support main saying different things about bad ADCs. So I tried playing support for a while. It's actually not bad. If you have a half decent ADC who follows up, you're good to go. Yeah you'll get some players who clearly shouldn't play that role, but the majority of the time I got people who weren't toxic and who understood what they were doing. I think the most interesting part is that I controlled the lane. I could keep the enemy back and make them lose exp and cs after we got ahead. So yeah, there will always be some bad players. But don't assume that's it's always just the ADC's fault. Botlane is a duo lane, it's not always just one person's fault it lost.

Support and ADC relationship is like marriage. If someone sees husband abusing wife in public, they will most likely interfere and husband would be asshole. If a wife is abusing husband in public, people would mostly laugh at husband,

ADC keeps getting rocked and leaving a squishy, low damage utility champ to deal with an overfed 2v1 under the tower? Support y u keep dying?

yea, i have to say...after playing some games of adc i can relay to adcs feeling let down by their team - because a lot of teams actually feel like they are activly trying everyting they can to make sure their own adc will never ever recover if he falls behind. They don´t only don´t know how to peel or use any remotly supportive ability on you once you fall behind, but they also many times fail to enable vision so you can farm yourself back into the game somehwat savly...and if by some miracle a huge wave showes up at a save spot anyway they will activly contest it...or run into combat so you have to deceide if you want to get blamed for not showing up or die alongside and lose a lot of farm. Right now most Botlanes seem more snowbally than mid or top mostly because the teams just have no clue how to enable them to recover (while midlaners in general have a better powerspike midgame if they are behind compared to most adcs, while top is just an island either way).

So yea, don´t always blame the adc...but there still are a lot of adcs out there that have no idea of at least the basics of the role (cs, position, autoattack).

As an adc and support.......I feel I can say the most. A lot of people don't like adcs. Even if we do our job right get the most damage people will only notice the assassin that got a ton of kills. But if we don't have much impact because of a shitty lane phase it's anyways our fault when we lose. Being an adc is lose lose situation.......most people would rather be without an adc altogether. Now you got a support.........they are mostly love and if they go above and beyond and decide to play apc bot they are cherished..........if they fail it's the adc fault. People are normally just happy to see a support.

Had someone threaten to afk because I accidentally took 1 cs.

I almost never see anyone blame an adc for anything despite 40% of the game being in their hands which is why adcs would get blamed. As i said some where else recently adcs like to beleive that everyone else should be following them around because they have the damage when its them who should follow other champions around who ever has the engage on their team so that they can use their damage to have an impact rather than what i see most of them do watch the front line go in and dance around pretending to dodge skills when the front liner is eating all the skillshots waiting for their adc and mage to do the damage. not having deaths as an adc while your support is dieing usually shows that you dont take advantage of support engages thus they die alot getting caught out because when they go in you run away. Not saying that supports cant just run in and die but assuming that isnt their intention or they arent playing against dumb shit like veigar caitlyn jinx morgana lux and brand you can ususally react to your support being hit because then they took all the damage from the enemy and they have nothing left to hit you with.
