Is there a way to track player ban status?

So if I know the username of a player, is there a way to track if that player got banned or what type of action was taken against them? They made death threats towards me in quite graphic detail, and I was curious how much of a punishment they will receive. Mostly curious due to a 14 day ban I got for sarcastically saying kys to someone else once, which I get they don't like that word but I figured it's internet slang/culture of insults so I was surprised with how severe it was, but I understood so just rolled with it.

I will be very tilted if a legitimate death threat would be treated less severe.

The punishment status of a given account is not public information, and neither Riot nor Support will release that type of data to anyone but the account owner.

Put simply, there is no way for you to discover the punishment status of any other account. If you feel a case merits attention for some sort of real life threat, you should submit a support ticket. Graphic threats are generally escalated as well, but it is up to the support agent reviewing it to determine what is "graphic" or not. Still, submitting a ticket will get it reviewed.

Why would you not just mute them instead of throwing a temper tantrum and crying on the forums?

Riot doesn't give out punishment information for other players due to their privacy policy. It's extremely unlikely, though, that a death threat would be treated as "less severe".

While Necromancy may be handy (and sometimes needed) in video games, it's not the case for old forum threads. Please avoid using such magic and be mindful of how old threads are before posting.
