My thoughts at this point

I want to start off by saying this is My first post on the boards and a little background I started playing league at the end of season 5. I fell in love with leauge since my first game. But I want to say that I’m not happy with what the community has become every game I play now I’m either auto filled or get trolled my last game for example my team had a bard jungle and he did nothing to help he only came to my lane to take farm. The enemy top lane was a sion there jungler a thresh who sat in top lane all game. The trolling in my opinion is becoming way to much and nothing is being done for example toxic players who cuss me out or tell me to die or get cancer. I’ll report them and the next game is worse. I love leauge of legends but the game is just getting worse and it’s getting to a point I don’t want to play anymore. I’d like to discuss this with other members of the community and see there thoughts and maybe re-evaluate my own. GLHF On the rift

When I initially play ranked, I got flamed by the whole team, they wish I get cancer, get hit by a truck, trash, %%%, you name it. Although, after several games they (diff players of course) started to understand that I'm new to rank and I need more experience, which is great actually, no toxicity. However I stopped playing ranked, in my opinion there's no point in playing it, its basically a more serious blind pick, which is why I always play blind. Its FAR more fun and believe me when I said that if you're always positive and forgiving, you'll be matched with more positive players!! Trust me!!

I'll never forget that one match where both MY TEAM and ENEMY team were friendly as heck!! Through out the whole game, both my team and the enemy team keep talking in /all chat. About our likes and dislikes XD. We went from funny poems to songs and K-POP. It was AWESOME!! Almost as if we're in a discord chat or smth. Even if we die, we keep apologizing to each other LOL, didnt blame anybody. We even started to 1v1 IN THAT MATCH, but didnt blame anyone if one die or smth. We even joke around that the game is probably rigged which result in the possibility of one shot-ing someone XD. It was really really fun, that was probably the peak of the positive side of the community. That was the real GGWP in my opinion.

So my advice is probably try to take a break from rank and play more blind/draft. You can litterally become anychamp with anybuild. I went top Lulu or ADC Annie, nobody even say a word, feed a little but I kept apologizing whenever I died instead of flaming or blaming and all of my teammates act like it never happen, trust me its FAR better than rank. People are too focused on shit talkers that they act as if they're all there is. Riot can't get to inter's as easily cause they could just be bad. So they go after the obvious ones who say a few curse words. Just to make the community feel like their voice is heard, giving them the tools for at least some of their revenge. It takes feeding game after game to catch an intentional feeder. Some of them are very covert about it too. I agree with the other replies, the games dying. Riot is radically adapting though to compensate. I imagine they'll start cracking down on gameplay trolls and less on chat log trolls. I'd play smite but the player base is minuscule. Like 10-15k players on avg. Compared to leagues 10-15 million or so. It feels like I'm playing lan in my computer class or some shit. I dont like game like Apex or CS GO, its not the tactical skill I wanna refine. I wanna refine the chess like skill with games like mobas. But leagues the only one really and Dota 2 is ugly af I just dont like its style. Turn rates and shit is so 2002.

What gets me is when someone starts trash talking the only thing you can do is mute them. Which is hard depending on your personality. I wind up getting in trouble because someone runs their mouth and I respond and happen to be a very fast typist....

I normally wind up muting all in a game, but that's no fun because I think communication is paramount! In life you would either say something back to some one prostrating to you or you would walk away... but I can't do either. I have to sit there and ignore them or mute them and know they are still running their jowls!

I personally wouldn't want to keep playing a game (physical or online) with someone who is insulting you but that's what you have to do unless you enjoy 30 minute queue times for 10 games (from leaving).

It is probably impractical but some way to report in game would be super cool, that way maybe you could get out of such a nasty game. Some of these games I'd rather take a remake than the incoming loss. Because we all know those trolls don't surrender either...

Honestly? Take a break and play other games. Makes League feel a little refreshing when you come back.
