Here are some tips to not be toxic

Hey guys, a while back I was pretty fucking toxic. Like I was a rageboi. I was on two strikes deep for over two years straight and in that time i figured some shit out

anyways it's mostly just an outlook on the game, you get pissed cause you're watching your work go to shit. keep these things in mind. so before you start typing

1.) Everyone is trying to win: Dude the whole teams wants a win, everyone wants to stomp those fuckers on the enemy team. It's easier to win by watching what your team is doing and figure out which solo quo commando has the best idea, especially if your idea isn't working. Only idiots get caught up about ksing when your team as a whole is gaining gold. Sure maybe the soraka should have let ashe get the kill but at least soraka is getting an ardent and not rushing a nashor's too-

2.) Other players builds: Ok, yeah it tilts me to see a tank going full armor into an all MR team, but if i can't be bothered to teach sejuani how to play her character then i can't be bothered to teach her how to itemize. Yeah they might be shitty shitty builds but frankly a big reason for this is:

3.) People have varying levels of skill as well as varying skill sets: Look, this is two fold. Some people get stuck in a match where they're blatently the worst player in the game. I'm sure you've gotten fucked by the match making system once or twice on both ends. I can't be pissed at a guy who got put in the wrong match now can I. It's not his fault he's not yet at the same level as the other players in the match. The other side of this is that some people are better in different areas. Some guys are rediculous at teamfights to a massive degree but are also really bad about tunnel vision. Some people just sneak every objective and steal towers left and right but always go like 3/6. Other times people are autofilled, sorry the lux maining support/mid player is stuck in top lane or jungle this game. They may have just dodged an autofill for jungle or top, dodging twice is autolost LP

4.) You shouldn't require winning to enjoy the game: Look, winning feels good. But if you can only have fun while stomping people then maybe this isn't your game. the way the match making system works, it will attempt to place you with players of your skill level, if it finally pinpoints you then you'll probably peak at about a 50/50 win/loss ratio. the vast majority of us aren't challenger and aren't ever going to get a spot in even the to 10000 players in the world. So you only have fun half the time in league? fuck that noise go take a break.

5.) You win some, you lose some Getting stomped hard? just play til its over, if your team wont ff just keep going, try to have fun.

Well said! I have one more thing to add if that's okay! Liberal use of the mute button! I go on the player behaviour boards sometimes and a common theme is "yeah I was toxic but they were more toxic first!" Don't let yourself get dragged down by other players like that, mute them and enjoy your game without having to listen to that shit.

very well put. especially #5 and that is what I always try to tell people who seem to be tilting on my team or just blaming one person for losing. what I can't stand is when people sit there and flame others because they get dived under tower. in a game earlier the support on my team left vayne in bot lane to roam and take my jungle against a lucian, j4 and leona. and then blamed her for being behind and such. yet, what they did in the game was not being helpful at all and they know it. there are a lot of instigators in this game and it is really annoying to get these people on your team. especially when they type to the enemy team in all chat to report that person, when they haven't done anything reportable.
