This account got perma banned and I was wondering if it's ever possible for it to get unbanned after a certain timelapse.

Unless the ban was in mistake, otherwise it won't be reverted.
It is extremely unlikely that it will ever be unbanned if it wasn't a mistake.
If you whine about it enough and beg to god like the last guy did for days you can get it back. You need to get 3000+ views on your thread and do some real prideless begging though.
