Riot and a Flawed punishment system

So it has become apparent that riot has no way of dealing with trolls that purposely ruin the game for everyone. That is not to say they don´t have ways of dealing with toxic behavior such as inting and grievous use of profanity. The thing that bugs me the most is the leniency they show trolls in this game. For instance, I have recently recieved a chat restriction from only one game that I played. During this game, a user called top, and everyone saw it. Another player then autolocked Akali and proceeded to go top while I was left alone bot side. The player proceeded to troll, taunt and spam emotes while the team tried to convince her to leave lane and support. It was here that I got heated this is the game chat that I received a chat restriction for. Mind you, it was all towards Akali and the ANGEL of a jungler who supported me.

Now I am wondering, how does me getting heated in a match where someone blatantly trolled end up with me getting punished....and the assailant running free.... I have come to the conclusion that Riot in fact, does not care and the game is more about individuals having fun regardless if it makes your team loose or makes others´ games miserable. I would like some feedback, I am seriously confused on why this punishment is just....

Riot doesn't find trolls as efficiently as I wish.

However, they don't actively encourage trolling. Which you do, by feeding the trolls. If everybody would agree to not flame trolls, trolling would vanish overnight, because there's be no point any more. The entire purpose of trolling is to elicit responses like yours, which means you actively rewarded the trolls.

Also, "autolocking" isn't a thing. Blind pick has no rules for lane calls or established role selection. If you don't like that, which is extremely understandable, don't play Blind. It's a shit game mode.

This is not prohibited. If you want assigned roles, play draft pick.

The player proceeded to troll, taunt and spam emotes while the team tried to convince her to leave lane and support.

To be completely fair, you and the team were in the wrong. She is under no obligation to play the role you assign her in a blind pick game with no assigned roles. So yeah, she responded by doing something that isn't against the rules: using taunts and emotes.

The Akali not playing the way you want does not make it trolling.

Why do you feel the entitlement to declare people trolls when they could infact be having a bad game or just playing poorly and aggressively attack them through chat on that note.

Disruptive gameplay behavior currently requires manual reviews to punish. It's currently backlogged for 2 weeks - 1 month.

If you have a way to code and automatically detect trolls, please talk to Riot. They will gladly pay you millions for that code.

I voted yes. The system ain't perfect (no system is) and yes, there are trolls that could slip by here and there.

It showed it's was at least accurate in punishing you though.

He locked in his champ and intended to go top? And you merely said in chat that you wanted top? How is he in the wrong? Then you start by calling him mad. You were both assholes, imo. You dont get whatever role you want in blind pick just because you called it. And he shouldnt have trolled, if he did. I agree their troll detection is sub par. Wish they did a little better at punishing trolls/griefers.
