Ban System

Hello, I've recently been unbanned (14 day and 2nd suspension in account history) for bad behavior and I heard that the next time I mess up again will it be a permaban? I know and understand that I was being unsportsmanlike and saying things that I shouldn't be saying and I am curious if it's possible to not be perma'd the next time it happens (not like I plan to continue my toxic behavior because I just can't anymore and to be honest I think we only become "reformed" after we get caught doing something bad and will most likely not improve if there is no action taken) but I'm wondering if let's say I stay clean for a really long time and by some unfortunate situation in which I say things that I'm not supposed to say, will I ever get a 3rd chance even though Rito has already given me my 2nd? Also, can you get banned or by the system if you get a bunch if reports in a day or two without an actual reason? Thanks.

You aren't guaranteed to get a permaban if you get your next punishment, it depends on the severity, that said, you ARE on thin ice, so I would suggest against doing anything that can risk getting you over that edge.

With a long time, upwards of several months if not a year or more of good behavior, the punishment will deescalate.

yes. it's possible. but it takes 3 or 4 months of non toxic gameplay for 1 punishment tier to descend and that timeframe is at best an estimate. Nobody knows for sure when your punishment history will go away and when you'll be "in the clear" and riot will never tell you. So i suggest stopping toxic behaviour altogether.

it should be pointed out that you need to actually play the game for the reform process to happen. if you go away for 3 months and then start playing again. the "negative score"you have with riot will be left exactly where it was 3 months previous

Also if you go with the "/mute all"tactic, that will work too, however it will take much longer to get reformed because by not talking you're demonstrating a lack of comunication, not a lack of toxicity. And there's a BIG difference!

don't flame, don't harass, don't use slurs, don't score shame, don't rank shame, don't threaten, don't ask for reports, don't try to be passive agressive, don't say "i'm muting you/i'm reporting you/ enjoy your ban". If someone starts a drama, starts inting or trolling, don't engage them in conversation.

Just mute and report!

Play alot of clean games (for about 3-6 months) and your punishment tier will decay.

At all times, you need to keep this in the forefront of your thought process -

"Is my account and everything in it worth putting my fingers to the keyboard right now?"

The choice, as it's always been, is yours alone.
