Riot should take a few lessons from blizzard in regards to player behavior

i recently switched over to heroes of the storm, and noticed something, i havent seen nearly as much toxicity, and the toxicity i have seen isnt nearly the extent ive seen in league and some of the reasons i think why

  • reporting a player for chat automatically blocks friend requests this prevents postgame harassment

  • chat is only punished in extreme cases, and im pretty sure they dont permaban for chat. but wait. wouldnt that mean more toxicity? well. you would think, but by only punishing severe chat toxicty such as slurs, it discourages ban baiting, or intentionally trying to rile people up in chat trying to get them banned. and it also decreases the paranoia factor which can cause reforming players to tilt, making them more likely to lash out in chat.

  • you have to go through 3 different screens just to get to the report button, one of the biggest complaints i have about league is it's "too easy" to report someone, and there is zero consequence for false reporting or counter reporting, low elo is literally nothing but a report fest, and neutral players are literally afraid of the chatbox

  • in order to play ranked you have to have mastery 5 with a champion,

this mitigates a lot of ranked toxicity preventing people from playing 1st time champions in ranked

Blizzard has been around MUCH longer then riot, and they know what the f*ck they're doing

Greetings

  1. logically nobody will accept a friend request from someone toxic after the game. (those who do just wants to start a flamewar)

  2. doesn't that also apply to this game as well...? (expect that they do punish players even for the lowest things they say in the chat)

  3. "too easy" to report yet most of the people still don't report others when they have the full right to do so and then complain about how bad this system is.

  4. bad idea

League games are longer and you can't leave.

After skimming to "it's too easy to report" I stopped skimming. Reporting is nothing but positive, false reports don't exist

At no point in your post did you make any sort of logical or legitimate argument. All your points are shit.

No one should be looking to Blizzard for game design. No one.

Nothing will happen to you if you didn't do anthing that breaks the rules so there is no point in being afraid of false reporting.

True.

False.

Sorry, but comparing HotS to League is like comparing the CFL (Canadian Football League) to the NFL (National Football League), one game has a million players or so and it's a facsimile to League---albeit not a very good one, but why play something that's like League when I can just play League?

it can be the fact hots is a waste land compared to other game considering blizzard has a ton of free stuff just for playing it

League is a much more popular, higher skilled, thus serious game than HotS. If HotS had this much popularity it'd be the same as here. Its the call of duty and counterstrike high strung, highly competitive kiddies that have been ruining this game lately as well as from the start. I quit during release because of the jackasses who were so toxic I was like..this isn't worth playing. I only came back because friends of mine were playing the game in season 3 and then with the implementation of ARAM shortly after i stayed and have avoided ranked at all costs due to the toxic nature built into the structure of it (yes....it is built in the elo system). With as much exposure as it gets, its naturally going to be taken way to seriously by non-pros trying to be pros. Same thing was with SC2 when it was popular albeit briefly.
