I will admit not being an active player in the boards, and will admit my main reason for even being here is the tyler1 issue. First and foremost i will say that my opinion of this ban is not only wrong, but also an abuse of power by riot. I am in no way a tyler1 fan, I have however seen some of his most recent streams. Why? Because just recently his views increased to at point higher than even doublelift. (and in turn showed up on twitch as one of top streamers) This to me is the reason for the perm-ban, nothing else. Riot was unable to accept that people enjoyed watching him, and were influenced by high elo players and their opinion. Seeing some of his streams in the past month, this man was LESS toxic than many players found every day. Im not saying that he should not be punished, as he should. However at no point should riot say that they will now perm-ban any account upon identification. This itself is WAY over board. This is a childish response from riot, who now have taken away his ability to stream, or have any fan base online from playing league.(this is what i believe to be main reason for ban) This was Riot saying they don't want him to become popular from their game, This was Riot being personal about one individual player. Say what you would like about it, but regardless of how or why, that post has been down voted HARD. This should prove something. Riot is not only a company that has proven twice in the last month to abuse their power, but that they also are willing to make a personal vendetta against someone, due to an influence from players close to them. Ban Tyler1 again, however only after toxic behavior, he should be aloud to make as many account and stream as much as he wants. This is my option on the matter, Riot should stop being a child, and F*k OFF.

So you are saying you are ok with a player who has broken the rules enough times to get 17+ permaban accounts and Riot should have waited for him to relapse to get another permaban account all the while while he was punishing other players with his trolling before banning him?

The guy had like, 20 accounts banned. There are limits to everything and everyone. Tyler just discovered Riot's.

psh.... Really now? Let's be real, those who FLAME BAIT are being toxic. I'll admit I used to flame bait back in the day to push the enemy team to rage...and that wasn't kosher of me and I learned my lesson.

No, i'm not siding with Riot, or anyone for that matter. I still flame bait, but only my friends and people I know that I'm up against.

Point you're making here, isn't really that legit... He'll just have to start over, again...

Many will say what Riot chose to do is childish all its own. I get that the way they dictated the message in itself is silly.

The problem, unfortunately, is the principle of what he was showing. If you were to create a video game and made it so the public eye would see your content freely, would you want people like Tyler1 being the advertisers of your game? Are you ok with someone who purposely went out of his way to force toxicity because he 'didn't like certain people' or didn't like the system, would that be an ok excuse to let them continue making content, as well as MONETIZE off your content?

I'm saying that because the content he was advertising was solely on the misery of others in a way that held no merit whatsoever for him to create his content. He explicitly went out of way to be toxic, and constantly tried getting around the system to CONTINUE what he was doing. That alone is why Riot will continue to ban him out, regardless of reform. In fact it's beneficial for Riot to continue banning him out, because in due time even Riot will drop doing the bans, and the identity of Tyler1 would run its course, and therefore allow the guy that runs the facade of Tyler1 to eventually reform under a new identity that hopefully doesn't reminiscence to his old identity.

I'm not saying that Riot is correct nor incorrect on the matter and how to approach it. What I'm saying is, if someone is going to get popular enough off the game, then they need to be ready to be criticized by the same company they ride coat-tails off of. If the person doing such a thing, is a nice and good person that aims to provide content that helps others, then of course that person will be left alone.

But if the ultimate span of content the person is showing is aimed solely at highlighting what's wrong the game, without ever acknowledging the game in other aspects solely to monetize off the misery aspect, then of course companies would fret. That's not ethical even on the business standard.
