Claiming you're better than your opponent after a forfeited game

Why do a lot of players feel the need to claim they're better than you when they lose lane hard but your team still ff's anyway? In my last game I crushed an Akali in mid lane as Rakan but my team was either feeding the enemy or fighting amongst each other which eventually led to them FFing the match. In the after game chat the Akali was like "so what were you saying Rakan"? cuz I had been kinda teasing her a bit during the game, and when I told her she still lost to me during laning phase she was like "doesn't matter, I'm better than you regardless" like bitch you're not better than me just cuz my team surrendered.

Because they believe they're better than their opponent. Why do you care for their beliefs?

If you are winning lane, try to roam to extend your lead to other lanes.

Win as a team, lose as a team. Just becuase you may have done well in lane doesn't mean you played the game better than her.

I mean you were teasing her for beating her, so why is it different if she teased back?

Because that's all they have left to feel better.

I mean, if you want to go by what matters, they won the game, you did not. That means they were "better" than you for that game.

Why do you give a rat's nutsack (probably Twitch's) what a rando Internet stranger thinks about you? Use losses to better yourself. Even if you "won lane," you (yes you, not your team who you want to blame 100% for the loss) weren't able to win the game, so...what can you do differently next time?

One game doesn't mean you are better win or lose. That's just elementary school ground belief to make one feel better. That goes for both you and the Akali. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
