There is a serious issue with player behavior this preseason

I'm finding increasingly unfun and extremely troll-hard games in ranked in this preseason so far. I understand that it's preseason but people are trolling and griefing because of the fact that it's preseason, and doing it in ranked queue where everyone is trying to improve their mmr for the next season placements.

If you're playing something new that isn't completely out of whack that's fine but you have the people who are clearly shitting on everyone's games:

  1. You have people on the enemy team who are refusing to end games that they have been stomping in. We can have an open nexus and they just sit around trying to catch people and kill them and then go idle and spam emotes until someone leaves the fountain again. This is literally griefing, there is no way it isn't. If your team doesn't surrender for whatever reason you get stuck in this shitfest. With the matches being much shorter this patch because of how snowball-y it is, it makes it even more frustrating because you can have an open nexus at 15 minutes and need a FULL 5 votes to surrender.

  2. You have people who are taking champions in certain roles, unorthodox (inb4 don't be a meta slave), and then going like 0/7/1 and practically intentionally throwing the game single handedly. Jungle garen was one of those in my games. You get people who straight up just fuck around and it makes playing ranked queue near impossible to enjoy. Yes I could just go play normals but I have always mainly played ranked and having to deal with people trolling in ranked because THEY don't want to do that crap in normals is not fair for the rest of us.

  3. Lastly there is the issue of Riot almost never banning people for griefing or trolling. You get banned for raging at your team-mates, you can get insta-banned for using certain terms, and you can even get banned for just being a downer or wanting to surrender and voicing your frustrations in chat. However it almost feels like a chore to even report these trolls because I know that even when I max out the characters in the description box to explain how I was being used as a punching bag with no intent to actually play the game in a sportsmanlike manner, it isn't going to do anything. The system is based on chat detection so it's near impossible for someone to get banned for that when they keep quiet about it in chat.

TL;DR - In this preseason so far there is a freakishly large amount of people griefing and trolling on both sides of the game (allied and enemy) and Riot will not ban or punish or even warn any of them because they only give a shit if you drop a bad word or two.

Unless they're straight up Inting this isn't a bannable offense especially in norms and draft, otherwise this game would be dead because experimenting wouldn't be allowed...

Also its preseason so these ranked matches literally mean nothing anyway...

There's more of an issue with people doing that then AFKing that is an issue.

1, that is not against the rules as far as i know they may want to finish a max build which is their right to do.

2 Non meta is not against the rule , trolling or reportable against the rules at all in , als not taking ranked seriously is also not against the rules

Also legitimately ( non intentional ) playing bad is not against rules

If you want to debate this i have a rather long copy paste i can provide you with .

T/ldr if you don;t like how random people play and you want to take ranks seriously Your the one that needs to form their own ranked team not everyone else

3 depends how you define griefing / trolling ... if its has to do with not taking ranked seriously and not playing meta then again your wrong thats not greifing/ trolling.

If you are talking about intentional feeding , rage quit, passive afk farm and verbal abuse ....then i agree with you that is an issue Riot needs to get better at addressing.

If you are letting a video game alter your emotional state enough to say "bad words " to anyone in game ... that is no ones fault but your own anger management issues and you deserve to be punished,
