When you get a 14 Day ban, does the system also look at the other people in chat?

Basically I got a 14 Day ban in a match where multiple people on my team and the other team were harassing me the entire match, so admittedly I told them that they're all wearing seat belts and helmets.. which in my opinion is funny but sure, to each their own.

Anyways, the question is when something like this happens does the entire chat get checked or just my log if I didn't report them? Because I'm not insecure enough to actually report people (most of the time, really depends how bad it is). We're all just here trying to enjoy the game we love so dearly.

Thanks,

EDIT: Alright so context means nothing, got ya. It's ironic though how someone who doesn't have toxic behaviors in their personal life can get punished so severely in a video game. The system essentially doesn't want me to communicate, so I'll start using the mute feature much more generously.

No because Riot games expects you to act like a 100% perfect human being at all times with no faults.

"It's ironic though how someone who doesn't have toxic behaviors in their personal life can get punished so severely in a video game." "You" as an individual are not banned. The "account" you are using is banned. "Buddhi" is banned, it doesnt say anything about your real life behavior that remains private.

Online toxicity has similarities with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_rage , perfectly kind people go crazy once behind the wheel. We can feel protected and anonymous and under stress behind a screen.

Nope, context is irrelevant. If you say something thats considered toxic, thats all that matters.

The system is pretty rough since being stressed out every game is practically the norm. In my experience, all the spite is easier to deal with when you give others a reason to forgive. Seems corny, but it's true. The issues are inevitable, but solutions are not.

Picture everyone as a mini Gordon Ramsey. They shit on your slightest mistakes. They flame you to oblivion if you retaliate. They don't listen to excuses. Many times they say they are calling quits. The very few times you do something truly good they say good job. They give you all this shit, but in the end they still playing cause they want to win or have some kind of turn around.

Really the only thing anyone wants is for someone to take responsibility, acknowledge their problems, and move on to find some kind of solution. Doesn't mean anyone is right to go buck wild with flaming. I don't think anyone believes Gordon Ramsey is being polite when he obliterates someone. Then again it also means you don't have to be on the receiving end. You got a right to be pissed yourself when someone screws up. Not saying this environment is justified, just saying that this is how the reality is.

If you want to avoid communication, just be aware that there will be times where people won't follow up with you for a reason you might not know. That's pretty much the only issue that muting everyone causes. If you are willing to bear that risk, then you can pretty much nullify the stress of in game chats.

I used to be big on reporting, but I've had too much of my time wasted to bother anymore. The breaking point for me was some dude was non-stop typing small snippets of toxic and racist remarks albeit with the text altered to get around the chat detection. After he got reported he still plays. Had a 43% winrate over like 110 games too. Some games he just runs it down. Dude just lives to ruin games. Ever since then I go with the "accept the loss no talk" road. Just say nothing and focus on the game. You'll win more games and it really cuts back on the stress. Basically be one stoic Lord Dgaf, haha.

Also here's a thought: If everyone stopped using the crappy report system they would likely have to actually change it. I know it sucks not being able to sate your thirst for vengeance by clicking the report icon after game, but isn't it far, far worse doing so time and time again and having nothing ever come of it? Well, If in context you reported them as well for their offenses then yes.....but if your like most league players you did not report and just left the lobby....so it only took the context you where reported for.
