It's not his fault that his try-harding team refused to surrender knowing full well that their team mate wasn't playing which takes just a second to do. Vote surrender, restart, new team, game on - all in under 5 minutes. There really is no reason to continue playing out of malice just to spite the one player who is trying to go for a different mission - its stupid and immature.

That the AFKer was trying to do is motivate you to do the reasonable thing and surrender. That way he doesn't get the unfair dodge penalty and you don't get the unfair 4 player match. Win - win -win. Too bad your bravado and selfishness led to a less favourable outcome that you yourself didn't seem to appreciate.
