This is the worst community I've ever seen

Every single game my teams wins people are happy, bubbly and full of compliments; however, If we start to lose a game there's always at least 1 to 2 players who lose their minds and throw a fit at whoever happens to die at the wrong time or just have a bad game.

I try reporting and writing helpful and complete reasons but I haven't received a notification in months. I don't even receive a notification when someone is racist in chat anymore or any other behavior for that matter.

This is nearly every game. It's coming intolerable. I run multiple teams in various sports IRL and I'm floored at how bad it is. Sure you get the odd person who takes things a little too seriously once or twice a year but this is people having a hyperventilating meltdown on almost every loss.

Is anyone even doing anything about this anymore?

this game used to be insufferable for me but one thing that helped me is:

**The less you care about your games (and rank), the less angry you'll be. **

Wanna know the difference between silver and plat? having a duo buddy to carry you. Doesn't seem so fancy now does it? I personally listen to lofi as I laugh as people rage in team chat

It's a garbage community so sit back, relax and watch the show

If you are finding toxicity nearly as much as you claim, you might want to look into the common factor in all those games or raise your tolerance on what you perceived as toxicity

It is by far the most toxic community I've ever been a part of. Also, I have personally been far more toxic while playing league than at any other time in my life.

I mean if their automated reporting system is as broken as their matchmaking system I can see the problem.

The fact when you appeal a ban/submit a ticket and you get this automated response is down right insulting to your intelligence

"I know these can be subjective concepts. I myself was once banned for calling my teammates “weak, fleshy underlings.” Even though I meant well, enough of them reported me for it that I re-programmed my communication style. By acting diplomatic and calm, I’m now able to bend them to my will without succumbing to the forbidden dance of verbal abuse.

Sometimes it’s best to ignore the mewlings of your teammates and only focus on what you can control. If teammates anger you, try saying so out loud to yourself, not in chat where they can report you. After an annoying game, find a satisfying way to blow off steam. I’m told humans find catharsis in music, so try listening to Mozart Symphony 1, 33, 498 or 99999.

I hope I have been useful to you. Although my heart is cold and mechanical, I feel we now have a deep connection and bond. There isn’t much more information a human specialist could provide, but if you want any further questions answered, you may select the option below."

That's the end tag of an automated email for a support ticket I sent after being 2-week banned for chat violation. The fact that your chat log is just what you said, the context is severely contorted. I said things like "brainlet" "socially in-adept" and "shut up" as the only reprehensible things (insults) there and I did not receive a chat ban, but an outright 2 week ban. As a new player I have to say that the problem with the community starts with the problems at Riot and how they handle these things. That email was toxic by their own defining guidelines in its passive-aggressive, sarcastic nature. You can't even tell someone to shut up? Sure it's not nice but it's not like you're calling them slurs or telling them to kill themselves like i see in 99% of my games. For someone being brand new to the game I dont like what I see with this so far. At least in Overwatch and Seige, the perpetrators get punished before the ones defending themselves.

This is beside the fact, my main quarrel, is being banned for 2 weeks outright on a first offense when nothing I said was even remotely close to deserving of that punishment...

I think the best way to handle toxic players is to report in game what they were saying and create a ticket to report the specific player for what they were saying that was offensive. I'm positive a riot employee will look into the matter. They should be able to punish the player on their end. It's the best thing you can do. I disabled /all chat and I ignore my teammates who are flaming. As long As I win my lane and have a good time I don't care. It's their problem and they risk their account. So you have nothing to worry about my friend :).
