Will be appealing suspension decision on grounds that I will be working towards reformation

Hi, thanks for your time in reading this.

Recently I received a suspension without temp suspension/chat restrictions beforehand. I'd like to issue my formal apology here, and I hope that I haven't caused any discomfort to you all with my saltiness in game. I promise it does not translate to who I am in real life; it is far easier to hide behind an in-game name and make comments about Aatrox or how I wished someone would step on legos the rest of their lives. While those are excerpts from the games from 16+ days ago that I received the suspension for (logged on yesterday to find the ban - March 13, 9PM AST), I find that they are still mean in retrospect. I am sorry, everyone. Please forgive my moment of weakness.

I'll be appealing to the support team about lifting the perm suspension, although the FAQ states they will not be lifted. I'd like to suggest to them to give me a chat restriction for two-four weeks instead of the perm suspension, however. I'm confident my reform can be reached with the chat restrictions (perm suspension doesn't offer a chance to reform!), and I'm sure my friends IRL from the game will help me in reforming! This can turn into a good experience, I am sure.

I can update you all if it gets anywhere.

Thank you,

Skid

It's great to hear you want to be sincere in improving your behavior. Even if your ban isn't removed you can still pick up with another account, and I wish you the best of luck either way.

Concerning requesting an extended chat restriction, they simply don't grant that kind of request unfortunately. I recommend being more heavy handed on the Mute button; I find that when I mute a player, I don't have any inclination to send them messages either, so chat toxicity is stopped from both ends.

It's fantastic to see players realize their actions have been harmful to the experiences of others, and even more incredible to see players willing to implement meaningful change in their in-game behavior. I'm really glad to see you come to that realization and wish you the best of luck going forward.

Unfortunately, Riot does not walk back permanent bans unless the ban has been found to have been applied improperly (a very rare occurrence). If you feel like sharing, however, I would be interested in seeing the chat logs that were linked to you -- an escalation directly to a permanent ban is unusual, though not unprecedented. It may be that there is some language or some behavior you used in-game that would have lead to this immediate escalation to a permanent ban (or, perhaps, you had been punished with restrictions in years past?).

Best of luck to you though, whether you start a new account or find another game to play. If you find yourself having trouble shifting your attitude towards the positive, I'm sure myself and many of the other players who frequent the Moderation forum would be happy to assist in offering tips for avoiding personal frustration and creating a strong, supportive team environment. :)

Just how bad were you to jump straight to permanent ban? If you were that bad, why not just start a new account over?

The overuse of your homophobic slurs are what caused you to skip tiers of punishments. Calling people %%%s over and over is definitely something Riot treats seriously. You can ask for alleviation of your punishment and personally I believe you should just receive the 14 day one, but Riot isn't known for changing decisions based on toxic punishments.

I'm not saying what i said was okay, I was in a bad mindset. that's not indicative of other games, I can ask for those logs and prove to you I'm fine.

Sorry for wasting all your times, I appreciate the feedback.
