I dont get this, me and my friend played som flex games togheter just for fun We joked in chat and my friend wrote this as banter
"kata should be demoted to lvl 1 feminist"
We wrote some other bs, but he got banned for specifically this sentence

You get banned due to the entirety of chat in a game. Not for specific words or sentences.
If your friend is concerned about their punishment they can come to the boards and post their full, unedited chat logs.
what people will tell you is rules are rules. if you ask me the whole banning system should be removed for verbal abuse. Theres verbal abuse everywhere on the internet, but thats just my opinion and my opinion doesnt matter so it sucks but thats what they'll tell you. I called a guy a "f**" once because he said "ill suck your d***" and we were both clearly joking but i got punished for it . When i tried to send a message to riot support they closed my ticket despite what i was telling them. They honestly dont care.
no but league has sort of a ban on political anything even though they are constantly playing favoritism... at least that how I take it when you don't hear examples of reverse view points being made fun of being lead to a ban.
