People who report are just as bad as toxic players

Assuming you're talking about the players who ask for reports, then yes, they are. That's why they get punished.

But if you're talking about the players who play the game without harassing or insulting and report the players who deserve to be punished, then absolutely not. Because if you're toxic and negative, then there's no reason to be playing this game anyway. Especially when you're just going to lose the account due to your negative attitude.

They got rid of report weight around the same time they started the IFS system. However, that doesn't mean false reports count towards a punishment. It's extremely rare that people get punished falsely. Most reversals I've seen for chat-related offenses are from the account having been compromised through no fault of the player. A few were dropped a tier if the player accepted they deserved a punishment but not the level they received. In all those cases I know about, the player was civil and had little to no history of poor behavior.

As far as people reporting being just as toxic as the reported player... how would you know? I mean, yeah, you might see the 1/5/1 feeder calling for reports, but it could just as easily be the 2/1/10 shotcaller who just uses pings and never says anything in chat.

Toxic players arent bad. They just break the rules. Wake up dude. Riot isnt the moral authority. Edit: shit why did this come up on top of my list. Accidental necro, my bad.
