I'd like to talk about bronze

Hi guys, I'm a semi new player trying to climb ranks, I got into ranked before i really understood the game, and I ended up in bronze 3, I was swiftly demoted to bronze 5 of course.

Since then, I've read guides, stratagems, watched pro players, and worked on my own gameplay mechanics and my macro gaming. however, it doesnt seem to matter how much i improve. Very rarely do i get a negative K/D/A in my games, and while i know that isnt the biggest thing. I think it should help, considering there are 4 other people in the game responsible for their own positions. it didnt help

So to alleviate this, I started playing only top laners who can build tiamat, and roaming. I kill my enemy laner, fast push to the enemy tower, and if they tp back in, i shove the lane again and go gank the jungler. go back to lane, fast push it again, then I go gank the enemy mid laner. the ganks are not always successful, but I still do my best to help the team.

However, nobody groups, nobody tries to take objectives, and when my laners are losing, they continue trying to 1v1 and feeding.

why is this happening? how do I carry games? what am I doing wrong? any tips would be appreciated, it seems winning my lane never has an effect on the game at all and I'm considering just quitting this game

Sounds like you know the mark of a fun good top laner (Kled ).

You definitely have a good understanding of your role; dominating lane, forcing respect from the enemy jungler/ganking them, etc.

I find that it's hard even in normals to get people to understand the game. The best bet for trying to carry would be to play those types (Kled Camille Aatrox Fiora ) since they can snowball hard and continue as planned.

It really comes down to luck. Think of LP like a fire hose. You're gonna not catch a lot of it, but enough exposure and you'll be soaking wet. B5 is definitely the hardest to climb from, but at that same level the enemy might not have a clue what to do against Camille with 800+ true damage.

The good news is that top lane is actually one of the positions that you can solo carry. Also in Bronze the skill levels are highly varied so it is entirely possible for a play to snowball out of control, which means it's possible to 1v9 solo carry.

1st strategy is pick something that is a lane bully and strong during early game & lanning. Darius Renekton are examples. After your first kill, you can 1v2 when the enemy jungler tries to gank you.

2nd strategy is pick a good split pusher that can run away if the enemy team tries to gank you. Tryndamere Jax are good examples. They clear waves and kill towers really fast and they have a mobility to escape. Just make use to have the jungle warded so you see the ganks coming.

3rd strategy is dualists that are strong and can 1v1 anyone while split pushing. Fiora Camille are good examples. The problem with them is that they are more difficult to play mechanically.

One of the biggest problems with split pushers and carry top lanners is that even if you are fed and you are pressuring one of the side lanes, your team might be too dumb to get an objective when the enemy team comes to gank you. The result is that the enemy team kills you and your team doesn't get anything.

Another problem is that they are harder to pull off in a team fight than tanks. All a tank has to do is group with the team run at the enemy, and your team usually will attack who ever the tank CCs. A carry top lanner needs to flank the enemy back line delete someone and kit the enemy front line. If you team doesn't jump in when you do you'll get blown up. Bronze solo Q usually doesn't have the team work to pull this off consistently.

A solution is not to push too far unless you see the majority/ whole enemy team on the other side of the map. This mean after you got the tier 2 tower don't go for the inhib tower. Instead push the other side lane. If the rest of your team is with you then great you guys are grouped. If not, then you are split pushing just like before.

Once all the lanes are pushed and all the tier 1 & 2 towers are gone, and the minion wave is near the enemy base, there's not much your team mates can do other than to group (since the waves are not available to farm). At this point just group and push or group and baron.

Hope this helps :)

First, enjoy the game regardless of rank. It's a measurement of how you are compared to others but unless you are pushing pro level it doesn't mean anything.

Second, focus on yourself. You might have weak teammates but you also have weak opponents. You move up when you are consistently one of the better players on both teams.

For your stats, look at them for where to improve but also compared to your game. For CS, find out what is good for your champion at 10 mins and work toward that. Even if you are coming short, yiu might still be winning your lane. I been playing support and my focus now is vision quest. Got below 13 mins for the first time last game and while its still really bad, a month ago my best was 17.

As far as teammates, expect the worst and hope for better. Since you are top, ping for a gank when you feel there is a good chance for them to get a kill or force them back to take a tower.. but don't rely on it. If someone is showing sound leadership, follow their tips. Two people working together is better than none. If not communicate your intentions and hope you get help.

You don't need to carry games to move up. Making it easier for someone else to carry accomplishes the same goal. Sometimes my contibution is realizing im going to lose my lane and making sure I don't feed and keep my towers up as long as possible.

I doubt youve read guides when you build crap like triforce garen and botrk renekton Start grabbing teleport way more to help other lanes than just 1v1 bursting the other top laner Throw down waaaay more wards and buy pinks... some games you have 4 wards in 35 mins Anticipate where enemies are and what they want to accomplish next rather than just thinking about killing the laner

Hey have fun with the game. I try to climb ranks mainly because the game is more fun as it is played better. Sounds like you have the right attitude to go far.
