Would different reporting standards for ranked and casual work?

This is probably best prefaced by saying that I don't play ranked, but from reading the boards I've been able to see that people take it quite seriously. Due to this, I can understand why people would be more sensitive to their teammates behavior, and might respond more angrily to feeding, or not taking the game seriously, due to ranks actually being at stake. This of course doesn't excuse insensitive comments on race, gender, etc. On the other hand, there is nothing at stake in a casual game, and people still rage relentlessly on their teammates. What I want to know is if people think a system in which raging is punished more harshly in casual as opposed to ranked would work?

The rules are agreed to upon account creation, not when you join a specific queue.

No, toxicity is unenjoyable at every level of play.

It would probably work in ranked since more players are competitive

Sure. There will always be people who hate it, and people who like it, and people who dont give a fuck either way. So it would work just as well as the system now, which some say doesnt and some say it does work.

Define "work".

If by "work" you mean let people be toxic and ruin the fun for players in ranked, forcing players to go to normals to have a game without being harassed/insulted for their performance, then yes, it would work.

I define "work" differently, and under my definition no, that is not a system that "works".
