Racism even in a video game

My friend just told me this. He was playing ranked and his adc was Croat while support on his team was a Serb. When adc found out that his support is Serb (Croatia and Serbia have long history of wars,unions then again wars) he started inting,game didnt even started properly. Adc said "i am not playing with Serb support" and went to jungle stealing camps and giving free kills to enemy team. While doing that he was throwing insults on Serbs. I just can't belive that someone is keen to int and trol lthe whole game because his teammate in a virtual game is some different nationality. It is kinda funny and sad. Just had to share this with someone, I lost faith in humans.

How is this Racism, Serbs and Croats are basically the same south slav people, its more of a nationalist thing, also that "guy" was probably a 12 year old or something, since i don't think no sane person would do that

The best way to stop horrible behavior is set the best example of yourself for others, ignore his generation and target the kids, show the kids that what their parents believe isnt 100 percent true. Giving up means they win, if you give up then what stopping everyone else from giving up and the world continues on its endless circle of hate and war?

Reporting the guy should result with a ban since he went inting.

Best option is to not tell where you're from, from nationality and even race.

I'm Arabian myself and was talking to an opponent in Arabic (I don't remember how we knew but I'm from Lebanon and the other was from Egypt) and 2 players from the opponent began to go all "hey catch a C4" and such. I guess it was due to we were winning and they weren't taking defeat well (it was draft pick even) but the Egyptian dude was very chill.

Last thing I remember I was honoured by my team mates for being tilt proof and reported the 2. I don't know how much they spammed in all chat because I muted them. I was told they didn't stop for even a second.

And what are you, if not Croatian or Serbian? I don't think you have the right to judge if you're not part of the conflict. For example, black people are excused for their racism in America. I would rather everybody just be allowed to dislike one another instead of forcibly trying to make everybody kiss and hug.

Fun fact: Serbian and Croatian can usually understand each others languages, but they choose not to understand each other due to their racism with each other.

It always amazes me how some people immediately hate others once they find out they are of a certain race or nation, even if they were enjoying their company just fine seconds before hand

jeez. Please learn difference between racism and XENOPHOBIA. I might sound mean on you but I am not. It just grinds my gear when people confuse racism with xenephobia
people in this game int for way more marginal reason. Such as stealing 1cs or not giving blue to 0/9 mid laner.
I will not explain the whole background of this unfortunate event deeply because boards has a very dumb rule aboit discussing politics. So you better google war in Balcan and have in mind that NO SIDE is purely good or evil in war. Everybody has a fault.

To be fair, i see no racism in your example. That's nationalism.

Nitpicking aside, EVERYONE knows league of legends players are absolute assholes. There is NEVER any reason to let others know where you hail from - we're here to play the game, and chances are some players on your team do not speak your language even if one or two does.
