No more TT, and rift is full of people telling you how to play your role

I've been casually playing the game since it came out, and throughout the years I have noticed that in 5v5 people always want to tell you how to play the role you choose, if they think your buying the wrong items, always with people that just experienced a lose the game before and troll the role that lost them the previous game. I really enjoyed TT Ranked, and dominion when it was around, people where more friendly and no so over the top competitive. Its sad the obscure game modes keep getting taking out, due to complaints about bots.

Nothing wrong with informing someone who is building sub-optimally of the optimal build. Sure it can get pretty toxic pretty fast, but as long as its just a "hey you know x item is better" I dont see anything wrong with that. Of course, some people have fragile egos that can't stand someone else actually knowing more than them, and take it as an insult, so its a risky thing to say. Something as simple as advice can derail an entire game with this playerbase lol, pretty sad

I agree for the most part with what Tele II said but will expand on it.

Sure, people can be unfriendly, but as someone who played quite a bit of TT (granted I didn't play a lot this year, but I played it a lot when I started), I never noticed a difference in toxic behavior between the modes. As was said, people have a right to try to help and communicate with their teammates regarding builds. You are not the all knowing best League Player - none of us are (well, except maybe the literal top person in the ranked bracket, but still). We all have things to learn. We will all miss some information - be it that grievous wounds would help against the enemy, or whatever. Sure, some people may be terse in how they suggest, but you need to learn to not be angry when people are trying to help you, even if they aren't doing it in the most flowery way possible.

If your not hard inting most solo quers wont ever type a word,mostly just spam ping you for leaving base

they do that in bot games too but i've mostly ignored them
