Permanently banned for Third Party Programs I don't have.

My EUW account (which is my main account) was banned recently because of "third party programs" which to me is about as funny as it is annoying, after investing nearly 3 years and hundreds of pounds (£) into the game i wake up one evening to find my account banned.

And before you make assumptions, no i was not cheating, boosting, Skin Programs or using any form of third party programs to hinder the gameplay for anybody else, all i had was myself and my desire to improve at the game, and because i have not recieved a response privately from riot i figured i'll take this publically.

And to any RIOT employees reading this, come on dude, if you're gonna ban me at least ban me for the right reason, lol.

People on the board have neither the power to unban you nor do we have even close to enough information to make an informed opinion on your situation.

You'll have to argue your case with support through a support ticket. I would recommend checking your match history to see if you have any games you don't recognize in case your account was compromised by someone who did use shifty programs. Support would be able to cross check those games with location data and it would lead credence to your argument.

Yesterday was the most major holiday we have in the US (Independence Day), so my guess would be that responses from Riot support are going to take some time. Please be patient until next week.

Wait wtf I had the exact same thing happen to me legit 3 days ago. My main account for almost 6 years that I've put approximately $200 into and I wake up and it tells me I've been banned for third-party programs????!!!!!!!! I've submitted a ticket and a Rioter has responded. You can check out my story at my own post on these boards: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/P9eW3mGm-woke-up-this-morning-saw-i-was-permabanned-for-no-reason

Really hope you get this figured out too man. If you do get it resolved, please let me know what helped you in convincing Riot that there were no third-party programs used. Good luck and thanks in advance!

I think it's important to indicate which programs you have running in the background so the community can get an idea on what potential programs are triggering the system. Because, it's pretty hard to ban people by mistake. The client noticed it was being molested and triggered the alarms.

It's actually pretty hard to accidentally trigger the system if you are a normal player. Especially since Riot logs every program that interacts with the client, how it interacted, and what that program tried to do.

Pretty much every single overlay can potentially trigger the system. Riot does recognize some of them such as Shadowplay or Discord. They will admit if a ban is a mistake. This has happened a few times, especially when their system was new and unrefined. Now they have a really good idea about most of the safe programs, and cheater programs. And scripts are stupidly easy to track, even simple scripts.

Hell, it's even possible to get banned by infectious malware if it attempts to infect the client.

Riot tracks what you are doing from the second you start the launcher. I used to have the manufacturer programs for my keyboard running because I use it for convenience in my MMORPGs, and I use my mouse program to change it's colors and DPI settings. The same programs have ability to run scripts and macros. I have not once wrote any scripts or macros to be used in League. And haven't been banned.

You obviously attempted to do something sketchy.
